VHS : Dorf Goes Fishing
While many people may find this video "stupid" and a waste of money, a true fisherman (or woman) will appreciate the humor in this video. Tim Conway portrays the sport of fishing in a quirky and entertaining manner, that would put a smile on anyone's face. I enjoy it more and more every time I watch it, and I've watched it about a million times. IT'S HILLARIOUS!

VHS : Tenth Month
"The Tenth Month" is a made-for-TV movie that surpasses anything that Carol Burnett has done. This is perhaps one of her most touching performances. What's sad is that this movie is so hard to find in mint condition. It isn't as much as a tear-jerker as it's meant to be but it certainly has its moments where your heart goes out for Dory (Burnett's tormented character) and her boyfriend (a wonderful British actor). I highly recommend this movie to any Burnett fan or anyone who is the parent of an adopted child or an adopted child. It's wonderful! 5/5 stars

VHS : Silent Movie
This is a second-tier Mel Brooks effort, which means it's very funny but not as consistently uproarious as YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, THE PRODUCERS or BLAZING SADDLES. However, there are still some inspired moments, especially the encounters with Burt Reynolds, Anne Bancroft, and Paul Newman. (By comparison, the bits with Liza Minnelli and James Caan promise more than they deliver.)

I'm sure this was not a high-priority DVD title for 20th Century-Fox, but nevertheless it would have been nice to have some Extras, aside from a couple of theatrical trailers. A few years after the film's initial release, I saw the "original" cut at a Mel Brooks retrospective. This version had scenes that were eventually deleted for the general-release print. While they weren't necessarily great comic sequences, ... Read More

VHS : Death Sentence (Sp)
Cloris Leachman, the real star of this film, plays a housewife from a family that appears to be upper middle class family. She is called to serve on Jury Duty and eagerly accepts. She does this for she feels that it is her right to make sure justice is served.

The real suspense starts when her excitement turns into suspicion, then fear, as she discovers the truth about the case. That the defendant is innocent, she knows who the real murderer is, and the murderer knows she is on the jury. This is a decent TV thriller of yesteryear and worth watching one afternoon.

8.The Return of Count Yorga starring: Robert Quarry, Mariette Hartley, Roger Perry, Yvonne Wilder, Tom Toner

VHS : The Return of Count Yorga
Count Yorga is the "Shaft" of vampire movies. So sleek, ruthlessly suave, not taking any bull, only he ain't a cop. I would definitely agree that this sequel is better than "Count Yorga, Vampire" for the sole reason that we get to find a little bit more about the acidic, intelligent Count. In this one, the pale faced fiend falls in love. I guess those billions of chicks in his castle with the huge teeth just didn't cut it for him.

His retarded assistant is beaten bloody and shot dead, FINALLY. He did add an element of primitive creepiness to Yorga's entourage, as though revealing the "other" side of Yorga (what he really is beneath the intellect and charisma), but largely he was just annoying and stupid, cracking people's necks and lumbering around ineffectually. The detectives who do this ... Read More
