VHS : Mother Goose Rock N Rhyme
My younger sister was obsessed with this movie when we were growing up, so I've probably seen it at least fifty times. Now, as an adult, it's great to watch it again because I realize how many huge stars were in it playing bit parts. Really fun movie...I wish they would re-release it to DVD!

2.Killer Party starring: Martin Hewitt, Ralph Seymour, Elaine Wilkes, Paul Bartel, Sherry Willis-Burch

VHS : Killer Party
I just bought a barebones dvd of Killer Party. It's as perfect as I remembered it as a seven year old.
It has earned its place among the very coolest of 80's Horror.

I love the ending...

3.A Place Called Today starring: J. Herbert Kerr Jr., Lana Wood, Cheri Caffaro, Richard Smedley, Timothy Brown

VHS : A Place Called Today
It is no surprise that "A Place Called Today" was made by the same people who produced the enormously popular "Ginger" trilogy, starring Cheri Caffaro. Similarities abound: absurd dialogue, embarrassingly bad over-acting, pedestrian camerawork, gratuitous nudity, and 30 minutes of film that could have been cut without anyone complaining (or even noticing).

However, unlike the "Ginger" pictures, which threw sleaze and naked babes in your face and made no bones about it, "A Place Called Today" is nothing more than a pretentious bore. While it supposedly examines racial issues in some urban setting, it merely spends scene after scene with cardboard characters gravely and angrily spouting the cliches of the time.

There are good movies and there are bad movies, and I admit to ... Read More

VHS : Accused (1988)
The Accused is a great drama movie. It will hit a nerve with anyone who watches it. It gives a disturbing view into the American legal system. It will have you from beginning to end! Once again, Jodie Foster gives a great performance!

5.Rain Killer starring: Ray Sharkey, David R. Beecroft, David Beecroft, Tania Coleridge, Michael Chiklis
directed by: Ken Stein

VHS : Rain Killer
I always felt Ray Sharkey was a terrific actor, his portrayal in this movie was incredible. The movie starts out as a great mystery, weaving in different characters to keep you from guessing who the "Rain Killer" actually is but peters out in the end with a ridiculous ending.

A haiku:

Waves and years go by
Cold water makes my bones hurt;
But still, I will surf

VHS : Alligator 2
I am a huge fanboy of water-related blood and gore movies such as Jaws series and I was very interested in viewing some crocodile movies. Horror movies, that is, as watching the Crocodile Hunter on Discovery Channel is a little mismatching my interests.
I've been looking through several movies and I purchased several of different years to compare and discuss.
This movie was not the highest rated, I can tell. Mostly because of the poor storyline rather than the actual models and effects.
The physical characteristics of the crocodile were a bit off. In the movie the crocodile was incredibly fast. In the real life world crocs are indeed fast but not able to go 70mph at one extent. The casual "dark room" scenes were used too much. Of course, obviously I understand that it is tended to ... Read More

VHS : Scenes From a Mall
Woody, Woody my funny, quirky, nerdy Woody Allen what the heck are you doing within one hundred miles of a shopping mall. In L.A. no less. Get back to New York on the fastest means of transportation possible even if you have to hitch hike. Bette Midler can do shopping malls, with Richard Drefuss maybe, but not with Woody. By the way if one really watches what goes on in the average shopping mall one would realize that there is no time for marriage counselling, serious dinner and dancing or movie theather sex or any other kind of self-help therapy as portayed here. Or any inclination to do such things. The deal is shop until you drop. Tunnel vision is the required virtue here. If you want to see Woody where he lives watch the films Manhattan or Annie Hall. If you want to watch Bette where she lives watch ... Read More

This so-called unrated version should be rated PG. I have the version taped from cinemax, and it is much better. I bought this DVD thinking it was that version. Boy, was I wrong. If you want hot & steamy, don't buy this one. It's not even luke warm.

My hat goes off to all the people that made this film. Not only was it done on a low budget, but quality and talent was not sacrificed. I will be looking forward in veiwing more films from Brad and Michael. There is much talent here that has yet to be discovered.
