Peter Strauss for a very short time after Rich Man, Poor Man was one of the coolest and most sought after actors of the time, especially for TV movies. If you don't remember the Movie of the Week the you never heard of this great flick, and Peter Strauss was awesome as a convict doing hard time that found his escape on the track.

I haven't seen this movie since it first aired, but I remember it as one of the better TV movies of all time. Great story, great performances. Just give us the damn DVD already! 5 Cleats

This is not the fastest action movie out there but it is VERY COOL! How many other movies show the guys changing magazines in their submachine guns at the proper time? No shooting the guns all day without reloading! Has a good solid story line, some cool one-liners and a lot of neat stunts. This movie is worth adding to your collection. Now to get it on DVD.

4.Dead Reckoning starring: Humphrey Bogart, Lizabeth Scott, Morris Carnovsky, Charles Cane, William Prince

I have close to 30 Bogart movies on DVD/VHS and "Dead Reckoning" may be
my favorite, behind "The Big Sleep" only !

The noir style along with the best dialogue I have ever heard and it doesn't get much better than Lizabeth Scott.
Always wondered what this movie would have been like with Lauren Bacall.

A Bogart masterpiece !

5.Second Sight starring: John Larroquette, Bronson Pinchot, Bess Armstrong, Stuart Pankin, John Schuck

If you loved Perfect Strangers, you will sooooo love this film! It is pure Pinchot fun. He is amazing as far as the physical comedy goes--how does he move like that? It's great to see him play "Murray" (whom he channels) as well as the rather off-beat Bobby (the channeler).

For those into action, the plane ride and the collapse of the fish house are not to be missed. It's cheesey 80s comedy at its best.

If you want a fun movie you can share with the kids (if you can admit you were alive in the 80s) or something to make the treadmill time pass fast, this is your movie.

VHS : The Cat from Outer Space
This movie is cute, but I wasn't entirely satisfied as it isn't the movie I thought I was getting. Instead of black and white, this movie is in color. The movie is filled with quirky one-liners and good old-fashioned shoddy acting, so it is still worth the money for anyone fond of older movies, or something kids would love.

Also, clocking in at almost two hours, it's a little too long.

VHS : Destination Tokyo
This is one of this few tense War films that really will keep you in absolute tension from start to finish.

Filmed with overpowering realism and sobriety, the smart script depicts the expectations of the crew before the final sequence when they arrive to Japan to follow strategic instructions of military intelligence and to stop the enemy's float.

Cary Grant in one of his most credible roles. An admirable direction of Delmer Davis.

From the opening scenes accompanied with the opening sound track the similarities with a much better comedy "The Graduate" becomes clear. The Simon and Garfunkel-sounding clone track to the very "odd" ending borrow heavily from "The Graduate" formula. Both films cover taboo topics and things that just weren't done in those days designed to shock and entertain the audience at the same time. Both make heavy use of the popular music soundtrack with Burt Bacharach's doing here what Simon & Garfunkel's did to much better effect on "The Graduate". I sympathise with another reviewer who's just as confused as I was a couple of years back with the choices for AFI best ever comedies and I think the selection criteria had nothing to do with films that necessarily make you laugh until you split your sides but more so films ... I thoroughly enjoyed this movie of the life of Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton, America's first native-born saint. It is very well done and is well suited for family viewing as few films are today.

While the movie is pleasant and easy to watch, there certainly is suffering in Mother Seton's life when she is widowed while so young and later loses two of her children. She was a great example to those who knew her. Mother Seton died in 1821 at the age of 46, only sixteen years after becoming a Catholic. She was canonized on September 14, 1975.
