VHS : Digimon - A New Digitude
If you want my oponion, Season 2 isn't as good as Season 1. I suppose the new characters are a bit different and a digi-egg idea is good, but everything else isn't that good.

It's nice to see the Adventure characters older though. I think the episodes are quite funny. So i'll give this a 3.

VHS : Space Adventure Cobra (Dub)
There seems to be some some disappointed folks with this movie, having high expectations but being let down as they watch it. There's good reason for this: this is the version that sucks.

This is the 1998 version brought over and dubbed by Urban Vision. The main villain's name is "Crystal boy" (really? yes.) and it's completely lame. I don't even know who does the music. It's an attempt to be more mainstream anime and more energetic. Unfortunately, the story is all over the place and makes little sense. The only thing I like better about this one is the type treatment for the title on the cover of the box - it's more dynamic and more easily identifiable.

However, back in 1995 Manga did a different version with a soundtrack by Yello (the guys who did "Oh Yeah" in Ferris ... Read More

VHS : Power Rangers Lost Galaxy - The Power of Teamwork Overcomes All

Back in 1999, The Power Ranger series was basically reaching its peek with creative plotlines with the multicolored laytex characters portrayed by actors who haven't been teenagers in who knows how long. You probably won't be seeing them in any other shows or movies (except maybe Archie Kao - who has appeared on an episode of "CSI: Crime scene investigation" and in a few episodes the newer seasons of the Hospital Drama "ER") besides other later Power Ranger series. If anything, I was beginning to reach the teenage years. Although I was far off from it, my interest in Power Rangers was waning because naturally I mentally instilled in my mind that I had seen all that Power Rangers had to offer. After The "PR In Space" series, I was basically ready to look at something else. FOX-KIDS and Saban managed ... Read More

VHS : Digimon - The Birth of Guilmon
Ok, first thing I have to say... I have watched all of season 3 four times and then some, and it has NEVER gotten old! It introduces some new digimon, has a plot that goes far beyond that of the previous two seasons, and also unlike the first two seasons, it starts out in the real world instead of the digital world!

I can confidently recommend this to anime viewers and fans of any age!

VHS : The Fantastic Adventures of Unico
Unlike many American children of the '80s, my first exposure to Osamu Tezuka's baby unicorn character was NOT on the Disney Channel - which at the time was a premium channel for which my parents were not willing to shell out the extra bucks. It was actually via the second movie, UNICO IN THE ISLAND OF MAGIC, which I rented from a video store in northern Michigan while vacationing there. Only recently did I get a chance to see this first Unico film - on YouTube, of all places - and I immediately fell in love with it.

Osamu Tezuka debuted the original Unico manga in Japan in 1977 in a Sanrio manga publication called "Lyrica." For those not familiar with the back story, Unico is a baby unicorn who has the magical power to bring happiness to everyone he meets. The gods, however, are jealous of his powers and order ... I pity the fool who don't like Digimon!! This tape is great! Sure, it skipped a lot between the last one, but these episode kick @$$! The best thing about it is when Gatomon digivolves into Angewomon, and incinerates Myotismon. The one thing I don't like is the cliff hanger at the end when they return to the Digital world and the tape cuts off. Great product! BUY IT....NOW!!!!

Why does everyone call this a rip-off of pokemon. Theyre very different AND Digimon came out first (not in america gut in japan). Anyways i would highly recommend this and it is far more exciting than pokemon in my opinion.
