I really don't understand the brass at Disney...they have several gems in their vault (namely this Christmas special and the Halloween Treat special) and they are only offering them on VHS? I urge them to dust off the cobwebs on these amazing cartoons and transfer them to DVD so the true fans can enjoy them properly. I want my kids someday to be able to appreciate these classic Disney cartoons as much as I did growing up. I believe they could make a ton of money on this, therefore I wonder why the hesitation?

I can't believe that this has gotten bad reviews!!! The only two things you really need to be scared of when buying this VHS tape is that there might be tracking problems (but there weren't any), and that VHS is now uh, extinct (not that I mind) A very good cartoon. It used to be a part of Fancy Fun and Free, but I thought that this by itself would be better (and it was). It is narrated by Ludwig Von Drake and he appears with his cute little cricket, Herman three times in the "movie". This great Mickey Mouse cartoon is very funny, entertaining, and well animated. Although I found Amos to be a little anthropomorphic, he functions as an excellent literary device to add comedy to an otherwise perhaps boring autobiography. While Amos probably did not write the first sentence of the Declaration, it seems quite likely, judging from recent historical findings, that he did indeed invent bifocals. Anyway this movie is da bomb!!! LOL!!11!!

When I was a younster in the 1980's I had a worn out VHS tape with two cartoons on it copied from T.V. One was WATER BABIES and the other was LAMBERT THE SHEEPISH LION. Both are great cartoons. Lambert the Sheepish Lion can be found on The Rarities box set in the silver tin. My all time favorite and hardest cartoon to find,Water Babies is only on VHS-Silly Symphonies Cartoon Classics volume four. I was spell bound by this cartoon as a little girl. I hope this helped someone else find Water Babies.
