VHS : She's Out of Control
I love this movie. It's funny and makes me nostalgic because I was just a kid when it came to theaters. The acting is great and the situations are funny. I just wish some studio would re-release the movie! Look at the other '80s teen movies on this site: $6.99-$12.99. This one: starting at $54!!! No way! Hopefully, in time, they will release it in an anniversary edition or something. Then I'll definitely buy it.

I a might like this better if it wasn't Pixar. But it's not witty, at all, has great animation and good action scenes and few laughs. Few, as in not enough to support film. Oh, well.

This movie should be Shown in All High Schools and THEN,
debates should be had for weeks.

you have the buildings of the mind and soul foundations.

what each CHILD needs, before age 18.
in asia, all this talking, is nothing new.
but in your world, this is New.
so be it. Let the rights for this movie be free
and see how many show it on tv, and other media.

pls push the rights owners... to free it .. soon.
world needs Thinkers, right now, more than the billions
who enjoy and think life is only about violence, as
if tv and movies are helping these feeble minded zombies.

this movie is a Last cry for help to humanity.

VHS : A Goofy Movie (Walt Disney Pictures Presents)
Since this is one of my favorite Disney movies, I decided to get the DVD and see if it was worth the money, but unfortunatley it wasn't. One of the biggest problems with the DVD is that the film is not presented in its original aspect ratio. Another problem is the special features included. Out of all the stuff included, I was expecting a "making of" featurette, but Disney was too lazy to include it, not to mention one was already made back during the film's release and aired on the Disney Channel. Everything else seems ok, the VHS version of this movie is probably two times better. In other words, this is a great film, but the DVD is simlpy stupid.

Magnificent? May be it can be a word to define it. A bunch of great actors get together around a worn table in a decrepit and abandoned theater. They start a play. They are all dressed as you or me would be. They have no make-up. But they have themselves.

And in minutes they capture you; they inmerse you in the Chekhov's world. They show you art in its more elevated sense.

This is Vanya on 42nd Steet.

VHS : The Princess Bride
Let me say this first and foremost, my boyfriend told me about this movie while walking to the library one day. At first, I told him I didn't want to see it, but he insisted that I should give it a try and afterwards tell him how I felt about it. So, I said O.K. and borrowed it for the weekend. And there I was, sitting in the living room with my boyfriend, watching the Princess Bride. Robin Wright plays the serious, deadpan Princess Buttercup, Cary Elwes plays the poor, lame, non-acting farmer/pirate character, Westley, Chris Sarandon plays the very cruel and very pathetic prince Humperdink, and Billy Crystal plays the lovable Miracle Max. Now, I was very Surprised to see the late Andre the Giant in this film, he did a very good job being that this was his 1st movie debut. He made me laugh and that really helped. I'll ... Read More
