VHS : The Birds
The Birds was the most ridiculous horror movie I've watched (and that includes The Evil Dead and other junk). Not only because of the lousy special effects - let's relegate those to the lack of technology. But the characters' reactions to the bird attacks often are preposterous. Let's pick the final scene when Miss Daniels hears a wing flutter and goes in the room at the top of the house, and see how many things are wrong with it:

1. Why would she go there?!
2. Why, after peeking into the room and seeing it chock-full of birds, would she enter and...
3. ... close the door behind her?
4. Why then, when the birds start attacking, does she make all sorts of uncoordinated gestures instead of getting the hell out?
5. Finally, her acting in that ... Read More

I disagree with another review that said this was the worst movie ever made by Taylor-Burton. This wasn't that great, but having seen all the Taylor-Burton movies, I have to say that "The Comedians" and "Hammersmith is Out" are the very worst among them, followed closely by "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" (I never saw the appeal of that film). That being said, this movie is still hard to understand. Taylor plays a rich woman who goes to Sardinia every summer, and this particular summer, she's there dictating her autobiography. She's known to be a real b**ch to her help, and she has some very strange help at that. Burton plays a literary legend (no surprise there) who arrives to hostility from seemingly all but one of the help. He has a knack for finding women who are close to death; he sees his job as ... VHS : Pokemon - The Movie 2000
Pokemon The Movie 2000 is the second theatrical film for the Pokemon franchise. Before the film, there is a short titled, "Pikachu's Rescue Adventure." The actual film revolves around three Legendary Pokemon (Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres), and how a Pokemon collector is trying to capture all three of them in order to capture Lugia (the "Great Guardian"). Ash ends up being the "Chosen One" referenced in a legend, and it's up to him to save the day.

This DVD release of Pokemon The Movie 2000 has some special features. First, there is an extra labeled as, "Soundtrack Live." This includes live performances of Dream Street's "They Don't Understand," Alysha's "Dreams," and Youngstown and Nobody's Angel's version of "Pokemon World." There is also a two-minute documentary about the making of the soundtrack, which includes ... Read More

Pokemon is the greatest show ever. It can teach us sime valuable life lessons, such as who to trust. However, if you want Pokemon DVDs, you should not get this one. The 3rd season episodes all have the same plot, and "Forest Grumps" is one of the worst Pokemon episodes ever. I suggest buying DVDs from the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th seasons, but NOT the third season. This DVD gets 1 extra star for "Fowl Play", which is one of the only decent episodes in the 3rd season, but "Love, Totodile Style and "Forest Grumps" are not worth it. If you insist on getting 3rd season episodes, get the Gym ones and "Midnight Heroes".

I love pokemon, and have loved it for a long time. This does include the episode "Holiday Hi-Jynx" a banned episode. Actually, George was wrong on some things. The episode "The Ice Cave" and "Holiday Hi-Jynx" were banned for the same reason. I first noticed something strange when i looked at the back. If you notice, Jynx has a purple face, as she does in the latter of the pokemon games. However, in the cartoon, all of the Jynx have black faces. These episodes, though to contrary belief that "The Ice Cave" was banned due to the relativeness to SARS, were banned because like Mr. Popo from Dragonball Z, Jynx has a black face. "Blackface" is a racial disimination issue. You may want to search google on Jynx, Blackface, or Black Face, for more information on this. There were issues with this, which led to Nintendo and 4 Kids changing Jynx's face to purple. ... Read More
