Well as a former US Army Tanker, I am writing this from that view. I had the privilege of serving with good soldiers, who on one occassion watched this movie together, as a company. The critisicm never ended.
I do like the actors in this movie, but the background, tactics and overall unit organizations shown in this picture, were pitiful. I can understand the equipment that had to be used to film this picture, but the dialogue could of been much more based on military reality. I feel that all the sides protrayed in this picture were not done proper justice. They were protrayed as a bunch of amatuers, fighting a war, like hollywood amatuers playing at war. This picture was put together like a bunch of pix up stix, that were put up half way and forgotten.

VHS : Merrill's Marauders
As a young Air Force corpsman stationed at Clark airbase during the filming of Merrill's Marauders, I had the opportunity to be on the set several times as the "resident" medical person in case of an accident or injury and had a short scene in the film with Andy Dugan that ended up on the cutting room floor. I met all the stars and had a ball. Besides, I got paid $20 per day and they served a great box lunch. One of the blogs I have read says that the extras were members of the Army Special Forces. That is not true, they were air force folks. Another blog states that Jeff injured his back while making the movie. That, too, is incorrect. He came to the Philippines with a serious back injury. It was exacerbated by the extreme work he did on the film. I worked in the orthopedic ward at the time of the filming and ... Read More

VHS : Palm Springs Weekend
This was the first movie I saw when I was a kid. I was almost seven at
the time and it was on a double bill with "The Sword and The Stone." My
mum dropped my two sisters and myself off at the Altantic Theater in
Long Beach, California and this movie played first. I can't tell you a
thing about the Disney movie, but I remember just about every scene
from Palm Springs Weekend. The '63 Thunderbird, Bugs Bunny, Stephanie
Powers, Connie Stevens, the pool with the bubbles and the car chase at
the end. Hard to believe, but this film made me want to work in the
movies.

And so I did. I have worked in film and video most of my career and I
always tell people this was the film that first gave me the notion.

During my career I have been fortunate ... Read More

I enjoyed the video... I wasn't alive during the time of the westerns, so I rely on videos or reruns to be able to see any... I think I've only seen two episodes of Bronco... Check out tyhardin.com to view Ty Hardin's official website

If you don't like disaster movies then steer clear of this made for T.V. offering, as there is nothing here you would like, but if you love these films then you will find something here worth the price. Like i said nothing new just all the stock people trapped in all the same ways as other movies like this , but keeps you involved and has action to spare.

8.Bronco 1: Shadow of Jesse James starring: Ty Hardin, James Coburn
directed by: Leslie Goodwins

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

VHS : Bronco 1: Shadow of Jesse James
Bronco, another classic Warner Bros western series, featured Ty Hardin as a ex-confederate army officer, and his often violent encounters with notorious outlaws. In this episode, Bronco Layne crosses paths with Jesse James, played by James Coburn, who would soon get his big acting break in "The Magnificent Seven". Also featuring Jeanne Cooper as the legendary outlawess Belle Star, and Richard Coogan as Cole Younger. Pretty violent, and bloodthirsty, this one, for its time. Definitely parental guidance, but not to be missed by lovers of westerns from the golden age of TV. Nicely packaged, crisp black and white print, and perfect Dolby-B sound.

VHS : Berserk!
"Berserk!" is perhaps one of Joan's worst films of the 60's and the very worst suspense/horror film she ever made. The story is so over-the-top. Joan plays Monica Rivers, a lady ringmaster who decides to milk the publicity from a string of strange murders. The movie is still not totally worthless. Joan always gave a great performance no matter how ludicrous the script was and this is certainly no exception. This movie totally reminds me of another one of Joan's cult-classics, Johnny Guitar. Not just because it's incredibly dreadful and incredibly ridiculous, but also because there seems to be so much hostility and tension among the cast of characters in this picture. I also love the outfits that Joan wears (especially that black leotard.) And I sorta enjoyed the performances by Ty Hardin and Judy Geeson because they fall ... Read More

10.Rescue ME starring: Michael Dudikoff, Stephen Dorff, Ami Dolenz, Peter DeLuise, William Lucking

VHS : Rescue ME
Vietnam vet Mac (Michael Dudikoff) is stuck with a dimwit high schooler (Stephen Dorff) on the chase to rescue an even bigger dimwit cheerleader (annoying girl). Poor lordage has made sacrifices before by rescuing a wannabe ninja, rescuing soldiers and now rescuing a girl who no one should care about. A rare comic genius performance from Michael Dudikoff. "Rescue Me" is a charmer, but it would've been better if Mac took care of business ninja style. This needs to be released on DVD right now, so please MGM!
