Anyone who says this is lackluster should be scooped out and used as a houseboat.

VHS : The NeverEnding Story III - Escape From Fantasia
I saw this on TV and it amazed me. This movie is so bad that it's actually really funny and entertaining. The puppets are terrible, the jokes are cheesy, and Jack Black gives an appropriately over the top performance. You can all but see him winking at the camera saying "I know this is awful, but let's make the most of it, shall we?"

I recommend this to anyone who likes B movies.

VHS : Rocky 2
Though a step down from the 1976 Oscar winner, "Rocky II" fares better than most Hollywood sequels. Calling the directorial shots, Sylvester Stallone gets a bit carried away with montages and could have used some judicious editing (the Adrian hospital vigil goes on forever). However, the Rocky-Apollo rematch is a genuine crowd-pleaser - excitingly filmed and more brutal than the original. Burgess Meredith chews the scenery with gusto as Rocky's crusty manager. Classic dialogue: "You're a greasy fast, 200-pound Italian tank! Go through him! Run over him!"

VHS : Marine Sniper Legend: Carlos Hathcock - His Own Words
The chance to see and hear the man who did what Carlos Hathcock did was priceless to me. I won't bother saying rude things about the "person" who panned this tape. If you know anything at all about Carlos Hathcock, you cannot help but be moved by this one opportunity to see and hear him. I'm grateful that this tape exists.

VHS : Complete Black Adder (8pc)
For anyone who knows anything about Rowan Atkinson and his cronies in comedy, Black Adder is a must have for your collection. By far, the best of the series is Hugh Laurie playing the idiotic Prince George and RA as his conniving butler. My husband loves that his favourite character in the series, Baldrick, appears in all episodes as Blackadder's hapless sidekick.

VHS : Disorderlies
This is a great B-movie, starring the 1980s hip-hop trio The Fat Boys.
Don't expect a taut plot, but there's lots of music and slapstick comedy!

Disorderlies (1987)
General Plot: Bungling hospital orderlies are hired to care for an aging billionaire.
Featured players:
Darren Robinson, aka Buffy the Human Beatbox, died in 1995 from heart-related problems.
Damon Wimbley, aka Kool Rock, has since lost all his excess heft, and currently is a fitness trainer (!). Rumors swirl of comeback plans for the surviving members.
Mark Morales, aka Markie Dee, has since pursued a career as a music producer. He has worked with Mary J Blige and Mariah Carey, and has put out two solo albums.
The late Ralph Bellamy's career in Hollywood began in the 1930's. In Trading ... Read More

VHS : Diary of a High School Bride (Amazon.com Exclusive)
While most of AIPs teen-oriented flicks of the late 50s focused on juvenile delinquents or monsters (and usually a combination of both) DIARY OF A HIGH SCHOOL BRIDE is much more along the lines of a teenage soap opera. 17 year old Judy elopes with 24 year old Steve and they must do battle not only with Judy's disapproving parents but with Judy's psychotic former boyfriend. The film contains enough action that the melodramatics don't get the film too bogged down and amidst the wild hystrionics there is an odd plug for another of AIPs 1950S releases, THE SCREAMING SKULL. And, aside from the fact that the young leads (Anita Sands and Ron Foster) look old enough to be the parents of teenagers themselves, the cast puts forth a good effort with the script that they have to work with! Look for former one-time Lone Ranger, ... Read More

VHS : Land of the Free
Jeff Speakman is a fantastic martial artist ..... but this movie, like all his movies since The Perfect Weapon, is horrible ..... machine guns, car wrecks, bad dialogue and plot - and the video of Jeff's American Kenpo techniques is wasted by bad angles and no filming imagination .... I'd like to see Jeff Speakman in a movie made by Jet Li or Jackie Chan's crew, or by the crew from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon ..... I'll wait .... don't waste your time with this bomb ... 1 star is a gift
