VHS : Over the Edge
This is one of my favorite films of all time. WHy? Because I first saw it when I was 13 and I totally related to it. I don't mean the destruction at the end of the film, but at least, the desire for destruction of my school, parent's friends' properties etc..

This film is honest and non-politically correct and explores the true and genuine feelings that emerge from a teen's mind. From the fixation with dating someone that seems out of reach, to doing mischief and just haging out. Music also plays a big part in a teen's life and the film's score is definitely genuine and reflective of the era.

What is interesting also, is it shows the different nuances and tendencies among those teens and unlike many other films, doesn't lump them all together. Rather, we have a wide ... Read More

I bought this tape because it was a stage production of the classic "Oklahoma!". However when I tried to show it in my Drama class there was no picture just snow. The sound was also very distorted. I tried it in another VCR but there was still only snow. The sound was better but no picture. The tape is obviously not any good. I do not recommend buying anything from this seller.

5.A Business Affair starring: Christopher Walken, Carole Bouquet, Jonathan Pryce, Sheila Hancock, Anna Manahan

VHS : A Business Affair

Carole Bouquet is still one of the most beautiful actress ever born. Her face is a real Symphony; and her alluring fits perfectly with this role: she is a gorgeous model happily married with a talented but neglected novelist, he is possessively neurotic and needs her as a child needs her mother, but by these destiny's trickeries she has the chance to meet the editor of the firm in which his husband is hired, an entrepreneur, ambitious who is immediately attracted to her. She will be the driving force in this formidable comedy that will make us to reflect about a question without answer: Does the ideal man exist for such woman? .

Some lines are particularly incisive and acidic in this clever plot, a brilliant film measure by measure.

I loved this production of the play and the filming was unusual in that after a while, I forgot I was watching a play.
The best Curly, Aunt Eller, Jud and Will Parker ever done! I have loved the movie done with Shirley Jones and Gordon McRae all my life, but the acting in it is outdated.
Hugh Jackman was outstanding. He brought depth and distinction in Curly's character that I did not know were there. Then, there is Jackman's voice. It made me forget Gordon McRae forever. So rich, full, expressive and manly. Not to mention, how handsome and virile he was. The scene with his shirt off, made me swoon.
The only actor I was disappointed with is the female lead. I did not think that Julie was beautiful enough but her singing was spectacular. I loved her voice. It will be ... Read More
