VHS : What About Bob
I had to review What About Bob? because this is one of the few comedies that almost everyone related to me really seems to like. I know just about every line by heart and sometimes can't help but say them out loud before the character does.

Bill Murray is at his best here as the annoying OCD patient, but you can't help but care about this guy. Richard Dreyfuss knocks it out of the park as Dr. Leo Marvin. This is a great performance that just builds and builds until he finally snaps into a murderous rage. He gets just as many laughs as Bill Murray.

If you haven't seen it yet, just buy it for the cheap price. Maybe you can share it with your family and it will become a favorite of your household.

VHS : The Sopranos - The Complete Third Season
Wow, season 3 of the Sopranos is a memorable one for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the previous 2 seasons, but by season 3 every storyline, every line that was muttered by a character, every shocking or subtle development, was a stroke of genius.

In this season, the cast and writers alike, SHINE. Here we really start getting to the meat of things. And it's nothing if it's not like riding a fast-paced thrilling rollercoaster. One you will not want to get off of.

I highly recommend the Sopranos series. I am not a big action or mafia movie goer, nor am I big into the violence...but something within this show is bigger than all of that. Something about family and a persons will to survive. Much of what these characters go through, we all experience on some level or other. Don't miss out ... Read More

I have always loved this play and had recently seen it done in a local theater. I took my sister and they did a great job. My mom wanted this for her birthday and when we watched it together I had forgotten just how amazing the actors are. Bernadette Peters is incredible! This is a fantastic play and I would recommend this cast to anyone!!

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: From the Secret Files of Harry Pennypacker
Shadow Watcher
Nobody Drowns in Mineral Lake

Larry Gelbart wrote the hilarious screenplay adaptation of Bryan Burrough and John Helyar's book, BARBARIANS AT THE GATE, the essentially true story of F. Ross Johnson, CEO of R.J.R. Nabisco, and his 1980's attempt to buy out the shareholders of that company.

James Garner stars as the wheeling-dealing Johnson, while Jonathan Pryce is cast as Henry Kravis, master of the leveraged buyout, who is also determined to get the Nabisco stock.

Glenn Jordan directed this suspense-filled contest for "king of the hill," and keeps us guessing as to who will win right up until the film's conclusion. Also in the cast are Peter Riegert and Joanna Cassidy.

In general, I like most Danny DeVito films. He is a comic genius, but also manages to slip in some telling social commentary. This film is no exception. It has great one-liners, mixed with enough sound economics that Instructors at the college where I teach have students watch the film in business classes. You will be entertained and even learn something. What more could you ask?

James Earl Jones does an OUTSTANDING job as King Lear at one point even foaming at the mouth in his raving madness! Raul Julia, Rahay Shamay Rabah Amayn, is almost as good while he is being very very bad as Edmund. The play itself is utter Genius, second in plays only to Hamlet, and this performance with its live character in Central Park, captures an air of excitement that can only be captured on very very special occassions. DO NOT miss this one.

VHS : The Rain People
The widely renowned Joseph Campbell expressed once that the religion has been written in poetic language, but has been read in prose.

If we bring this statement into the cinematographic lexicon, we might establish surprising parallelisms. "Rain people" is a crude and devastating portrait about losers along the way; it deals with the life and times of anonymous human beings, trapped in the web of the routine and existential hopeless, so typical in those times in which the state of things surmounted by far, the context of many people around the world.

A desperate and bored house wife,(who discovers is pregnant)decides to make a crucial decision, so she leaves her home and flees with her car. But in the road she will pick up a retarded ex football star who has a metal plate in his head (a very personal tribute of Coppola ... Read More
