Very enjoyable film romance/mystery dealing with the ambiguities of racism and changing conscienceness [IMHO]. No Oscars, no immortal performances, just a good story well told. My only regret is that the music is unavailable. The music behind the closing is very nice.

Wow, imagine trying to watch Lance Armstrong win an exciting mountain stage of the Tour while some synthesizer/porno music that is so loud you can't even hear the inane commentary of Phil Liggett or Paul Sherwin plays over the imagery? Well, this is what watching this DVD is like. And just as inexplicably as this "music" begins it sometimes, blessedly, ends. Sometimes it ends before the best part of the stage is over and sometimes not. Apparently the production team was high when they dumped this garbage on top of the video, or they were watching a porno and just happened to record some of the music. Either way, you'll have a hard time ignoring it. I say to myself, how dumb do people really have to be to think that something like this is actually a good idea? Well, look at who's president. Nuf said.

World Cycling Productions does an excellent job of covering the Tour (as always). The digital quality is excellent. This dvd set is perfect for those who missed the Tour on OLN or need something for all the time on the trainer in the winter. I think the coverage is just a bit better than the 2001 Tour. You'll love it!

This is a very good interpretation of the Scott Turow book. 'Burden of Proof' has always been my favorite work from this author. This time Turow makes a lead character out of a terrific supporting character from the previous book ('Presumed Innocent'), the elegant and cunning defense lawyer Sandy Stern. It has a fairly complicated plot which must be handled judiciously in a movie to be understandable, and this movie does it well. The casting is top-notch, especially for Stern and his brother-in-law, who is under federal indictment. This is definitely worth your time.
