I was a huge fan of the first and second American Pie. Those was hilarious. This just seemed to be stretching it too far. It makes sense to end the series on this movie because it completes the romantic story line but I just did not find it all that funny. Its worth watching once or twice but not worth the purchase. If you are a fan of American Pie I suggest renting this movie instead of buying it.

VHS : Halloween - Resurrection
HAPPY THIRTIETH ANNIVERSARY, MICHAEL MYERS!!!

"Halloween: Resurrection" is the best sequel since "Halloween II." It is everything a slasher flick should be: attractive young coeds in peril; an abandoned house; unique death sequences (Jen's beheading was excellent - loved it when the head bounced down the stairs); an eerie soundtrack; dark humor; tension galore; and a beautiful female lead who, towards the end, runs screaming through corridors and up and down stairs while discovering dead bodies. It is very reminiscent of the slasher films that I loved to watch in the eighties.

Jamie Lee Curtis, scream queen of the eighties, briefly reprises her role as Laurie Strode. We learn that she has been locked away in a psychiatric hospital for three years. She is ... Read More

Another brilliant production from the BBC! Ian Richardson is superlative in the role of a man you'll love to hate. He charmingly lets you in on his machinations, enticing you almost into conspiracy with him. This works well with a young female journalist, too. The plot is not very realistic when you think of how easily the villian, Francis Urquart, gets away with his crimes. But it is so well done that it will hold your interest throughout. I'm tempted to subtract one star for the cyncism of it, but Richardson's performance makes up for any lack. Shakespeare would have loved it!

...In a role he'd probably like to pretend never happened! (But he looks darn cute, though!)

For the kids, this is not one of Disney's better flicks. Plot is silly & predictable. Special effects are surprisingly cheap looking (especially for a Disney film). But there is nothing offensive to worry about as a parent, and it's a decent film to run on the DVD player on a raining Saturday when the kids are chanting "I'm bored. I'm bored."

For Daniel Craig fans, it's good for a chuckle to see him in one of his very earliest roles (nothing like his usual edgy work - he must have had the rent due when this role was offered to him!) His shaggy, slightly surfer-style haircut reminds you of Duran Duran. Very cute in silly medieval costume. He was funny at times, with a bit of silliness in ... Read More

I purchased this DVD after re-viewing it on a TV where I work out. This film was essentially unknown to the kids I showed it to (5th graders)since they hadn't been born yet. It was an enjoyable film with lots of humor, and the kids really liked it.

VHS : American Pie - Unrated Edition (Special Edition)
This film is really funny from a teens point of view. I dont know what you adults would think though,it does have some pretty silly and disturbing scenes....But otherwise,to me,this was a hilarious crude comedy, basically about 4 dudes that really wanna score, before graduation. It starts of with a funny scene, and the acting is very acceptable, but was blatant at times by some of the cast. The love relationships were fairly unrealistic, and biased. Now,its not as easy as it sounds, this has more crude that sex scenes....now,you either find it hilarious, laughable or totally stupid thats up to you to decide. The script was pretty well developed, and had some scenes, which left you crying for more. To me,the bad point was how the film developed towards the end,it slowly begins to go downhill from there, but luckily it ends before ... Read More
