VHS : Theodore Roosevelt: The American Experience

It's an ethereal moment and makes the viewer think they are in the room with Roosevelt.

TR's entire life is depicted, with generous amounts of time being spent on his early years in New York. But the majority of the program is rightly devoted to TR in the period 1898-1909, where he went from Rough Rider to President. His private side is illuminated and one realizes he was a fascinating, though sometimes infuriating man; stubborn, headstrong, ... Read More

VHS : Great American Speeches
I agree with the other speech teachers who have reviewed this video set. "Great American Speeches" is very well edited and informative. Unfortunately, to get the set for "educational use" you must go through the Films for the Humanities and Science where they areselling it for an obsene amount.

VHS : The Indomitable Teddy Roosevelt
No one can watch this and not be amazed at what a whirlwind of fun and energy Theodore Roosevelt's life was. The best line from many in this film? "You'd have to hate the colonel a whole lot-- not to love him". Quite true.

VHS : In the Blood (1989)
For wildlife lovers, and those a bit wild at heart, this is a definitive work that explores man's interaction, links with, and love of nature. Sustainable utilisation is a natural and sensible way to ensure the game remains on the land. Sadly, as man becomes more urbanised, the more out of touch with the natural world he becomes and this is both an exciting and refreshing step back away from the totalitarian anthill of urban consumerism and the slavish views on wildlife that so often do more harm than good.

Hunter or non-hunter if you love Africa or even just the idea of Africa, and the outdoors then this is for you. It's an action packed, first class adventure. Both thumbs up. Robin - my bags are packed and I'm on my way...
