This movie falls into the "so bad it's good" category. All the actors are terrible, even Henry Fonda's cameo stinks. Some of the scenery is great, some is obviously phony. But somehow it is watchable, perhaps because you keep imagining what is being parodied, especially toward the end. Yet it gives one a twinge of regret when it's over.

Great and outstanding early performance by Val Kilmer prefaces his mega acting career. Wonderfully humorous to lighten the intense drama that this movie is. Reminded me of times I spent in Montana with the Crow and Northern Cheyenne and some the lingering issues they had with the federal government even into the 1990's and perhaps still exist today.

1985's SCREAMPLAY is one of those rarities among independently produced films that embraces its low budget and inexperienced actors and uses them to great advantage, and the result is an entertaining flick that is better than 90% of the tripe that comes from mainstream Hollywood. Not that these filmmakers dislike Hollywood far from it! SCREAMPLAY is, in fact, both a loving parody of Hollywood's second-string detective and horror films of the '30s & '40s and a celebration of the camera tricks and special FX of the early days of filmmaking.

Though a troupe of mostly unknown actors--as such, that is--the players in SCREAMPLAY are obviously knowledgeable about the cliched characters they are portraying and are well aware of the deliberate histrionics required to re-create such characters ... Read More

I love this movie, the music, the sounds of the voices, the one liners,
the story. I don't normally watch movies over but I have watched this over and over, the story is amazing. 1981 when I first fell in love with

Detonator Orgun is a amazing 3 part OVA on a single DVD, that has a nice story line and love story. I live in Brazil and the DVD is not Region 1 as stated but Region Free. That was a great surprise since i can see it on any DVD player here. Item Shipped and Arrived very fast for a international delivery. My first buy on Amazon and probably not the last one.
