VHS : Ski Patrol
Well this is definitely one of the weirdest snow ski movies I've ever seen. And when I first saw it, I tried to cross-referrence the characters in it compared to the ones in the Police Academy movies. It stars Roger Rose, Yvette Nipar, T.K. Carter, the late Ray Walston, and Martin Mull. Snowy Peaks I believe which is the name of this ski resort is where it takes place, and they are about to be evaluated on their performance, and when Martin Mull finds out about it, he tries to blackball their safety features so they can close down so he can takeover the ski resort and make his own resort, it's up to the ski resort to save it's reputation and keep it open. To me, the funniest part is the guy SUICIDE...the guy with a THREE part personality when he does the snowboard, and rocket skis and ... Read More

If you like movies from the '80s, then you will love this one. The plot consists of a rock singer that goes with his best friend and manager to L.A. to shoot a video, after he wins a contest on local video contest. The only hitch is, he can only bring a girlfriend with him. T.K. Carter is priceless in drag! I always found his comedy funny. This is totally '80s, and will not disappoint hardcore fans of b-movie, '80s fare. I hope it gets released on DVD one of these days!

When I first saw this movie,it was a sneak preview with the premiere of Blade Runner, another Sci-Fi classic.I had gone to the movie alone, with my friend "Laughing Sam's Dice"...ok?Anyway,I was just melting into my seat in total connection with the first feature, and in all honesty partway into The Thing, for the first time in my movie career,I walked out,sat in the parking lot trying to compose myself to drive home.I have to consider this like an award level!Present day movie-goer's would consider it differently, the perspective I dealt with was beyond anything that had been released.Anyway,I had to go back, this time,I took my friend Mary Jane, and had a slightly calmer experience that I was able to enjoy to the end without entrails turning into tentacles leaving the screen, and crawling up the aisles, and ... A film that was clearly inspired by Deliverance, but that quite easily merits viewing in its own right. If you replace adventurers with National Guardsmen you do have almost the same film. However don't let that put you off because this is very well done and probably has more of a brooding sense of menace to it than Deliverance does. The cast are are all good and director Walter Hill perhaps peaked with this film.

The story is slight, but effective, some National Guardsmen upset the locals whilst out on an exercise. The locals aren't happy and seek to punish the soldiers in various horrible ways. When you see this unfold you will begin to see that maybe this film was an influence on the first Rambo film and even perhaps Predator.

Again in another parallel to Deliverance this ... Read More

VHS : My Favorite Martian
I can't believe that I laughed so much at this bit of fluff! When My Favorite Martian came on the T.V. and my daughter wanted to watch it, I groaned and focused my attention on my computer. Then she started laughing-then I noticed that 'Uncle Martan' was played by Christopher Loyd(sp)-before I knew it I was watching this silly, funny movie and couldn't stop. I won't go into details about the humor-I'll just say it's a great family movie that even an old foggie like me can enjoy!

VHS : Runaway Train
I saw this many years ago and found it on sale recently. It is a superb movie, one of the best! The scenery is breath-taking, the plot rivoting, acting is top notch, and has a startling ending. There is also some rough language from the prisoners in the jail and the escaped convicts which I could have lived without, but it is realistically done.

Two prisoners escape from a maximum security prison and hop on board a train whose engineer dies, leaving the train as a runaway with nobody on board able to stop it. Jon Voight turns in a tour de force performance as convict Manny, a fierce, crazed individual running from himself. His tag-along buddy, Buck, is an obnoxious fellow who is trying to ingratiate himself with Manny, but is not really a hard core con. They are joined by Sara, a ... Read More

I remember when this sitcom and when this cartoon used to come on televison I used to watch the both of them and it was differnce between both. On the cartoon she had a magical friend named Glomer he granted her wishes and she had the same friends Cheri of course her best friend. While on the television series she lived Henry who had adopeted her with her dog "Brandon" she had such a unique different style I want to say that I was a fad for a while she had her same friends as on the cartoon and Cheri was her best friend also I really did enjoy this series and I would recommend anyone who watched the tv series and the cartoon series to buy this video!!!!!
