VHS : The Firm: Total Body - Body Sculpting Basics
This is the first firm video I bought and used, it is my favorite.
It is a bout 62 minutes so you need to prepare for that, however when I am short on time you can do the first 30 minutes or skip parts, it is made in sections so its easy to do.
When I first did this workout the only other previous training I had was slim-n-six. Going from the hardest video in the slim-n-six to the firm was easy and some of the moves were the same. With the firm though I was really tired by the end of the running in place bit (10-15 min. into it) and couldn't finish most of the moves. It worked me out harder than I expected, especially since I could completely finish the hardest one in slim-n-six! It wasn't so hard though that I felt I would never be able to do it, with in 2-3 weeks I could ... Read More

This has got to be one of the dumbest, most deliriously boring flicks ever made. Heck, watching it gave me a massive headache. I'm known for liking really cheesy movies, but this one is just plain stinky.

Let's not take this film too seriously, or judge it as if it was intended for adults. It's based on a whimsical stage play for children, incorporating the various bridges and parks of Pittsburgh. It's not "low budget." It features Sam Waterston, William H. Macy (as a turtle), Susan Anton, Richard Schull, Max Wright ("Alf") and James Karen. It's a fairy tale set in modern-day Pittsburgh.

VHS : Swing Shift
Swing shift was one of my favorite movies about WWII because it was
mostly about what was happening on the home front during that time. Most
WWII movies were about the military battles or what was happening
in Europe or in the far east.

I had noticed "Night Moves" inclusion in the "New York Times Best 1000 Movies". I like a good detective movie and I was looking forward to seeing it which I did last night. I was disappointed in the movie. In all fairness, my disappointment was borne in high expectations. However, I found the plot unnecessarily complicated (many will probably like this aspect). The characters were too much. Our hero, for example, is a former All-Pro football player. Except for some access issues that could have easily been re-scripted to create the same scenarios, there was no need to create such an esoteric facet. We are treated to analysis of the private detective's incomplete relationship with his father which also took us aimlessly down a dead end. I could go on and on but the ending really caught ... VHS : The Wild, Wild West Revisited
"The Night of the Inferno," the pilot episode of "The Wild Wild West," establishes the formula for the television series created by Michael Garrison about the James Bond of the Old West that ran on CBS from September 17, 1965 until September 7, 1970. But while the formula is tried and true, adapting the super spy formula of exotic villains and grandiose plans to rule a significant portion of the American West, the tone of the series is not yet to be established. This is clear as soon as we meet our heroes "James" West (Robert Conrad) and "Artemus" Gordon (Ross Martin).

The pilot starts off with a great hook as condemned prisoner James T. West is dragged to a railroad train in the middle of the night--where he finds President Ulysses S. Grant (James Gregory), who is providing cover for ... Read More

VHS : Third Miracle
The Third Miracle did occur. The Third Miracle and beyond involved the priest tasting type A blood shed from the Statue of Mary. The blessed blood was subsequently 1) transferred by the priest's kiss and saved a girl's life for a second time, 2) the priest's kiss made a troubled woman stabilize her life and develop love for her child, 3) the priest's actions made an arrogant and nasty Catholic archbishop melt his hard ways [a personality that remained from his life as a German World War II soldier], and 4) the blood returned a priest from a life of drinking and depression to a lowly, but loving and devoted parish priest.

The performance by Ed Harris was equal to any Best Actor Oscar that has been awarded. Because of the performance of all of the actors and actresses, the treatment of ... Read More
