This is one of the best, if not the best videos that the late, great Jim Henson produced prior to his untimely death. I resell a lot of the children's videos that I purchase on line, at private sales and from my own distributors, and this one literally flys off my auction site as soon as I list one. This is an out of print video, so its not very easy to find copies of same.Of course, as with most of Henson's videos, violence is not present, the majority of his videos are all feel good ones and they are absolutely great for the young children.

This would be a wonderful addition to a Christmas movie collection that I wish they would release on DVD as well as re-releasing The Muppet Family Christmas. I am not willing to pay $[...] for the out of print dvd but I would love to have it. This title has never been released on DVD and with all the crap that Disney puts out I'm appauled that they don't release something as charming and quality as this. Its classic Henson and will always have a place in my heart!

I am a big fan of the Muppet Family (Sesame, Fraggles, thee Muppets, Labyrinth, etc.)and so it is without hesitation that I write this review to say this Muppet release is best to be forgotten. Some have been pleased with the newer Muppet releases (Muppet Christ Carol, Muppets From Space) and disappointed (Muppet Treasure Island)... but this release is beyond disappointment or simply a bad movie. It's simply inappropriate for a Muppet film. Fozzie is a pick-pocket, which is sort of funny, but it goes downhill from there. Kermit is furious at everyone and apparently suicidal (screaming "I wish I was never born!" over... and over... and over again...). Miss Piggy is a Call Girl Operator. Peppe gets a permit to open a topless nightclub... and Scooter is an S&M cage dancer. No joke. ... Read More

One of my favorite's movies I remember will always be a favorite to me and now to my son as well. The service this person has is truly TOP notch. Speedy all the away to my door, not a problem with tape, it plays perfectly, but DVD would still be a nice touch. Thank You mam for an excellent movie at a great price.

My 22 month old granddaughter love this video. She loves to it's jazzy music and even sings with Elmo, etc. She know the number 5 now and no doubt the rest of the numbers in no time. She gets a lot of repetition from us, too.

These were three excellent episodes of the Muppet Show, each one showcasing the potential of the creations of Jim Henson and company. Belafonte's will always be a classic, allowing his famous "Bannana Boat" song to become a comedy act (a series of bizarre interupptions and stage whispers during the song) while still highlighting his vocal talent. Turn the World Around was one of the best numbers in the history of the show. John Denver and Linda Ronstadt also highlight the creativity of the backstories in the show (Linda having a crush on Kermit while Miss Piggy tries to break them up and John inviting the group to go camping). The moment where Kermit tells Piggy that she doesn't have to go camping, and that they can instead go where "her roots are, the sty! Where pigs eat swill and wallow in the mud!" was a classic. ... AWESOME collector for the generation who grew up with the Muppets, no doubt.... However, this movie may need to be carefully reviewed by parents before young children watch it. I was born in 1979, very young when The Dark Crystal was big. My mother watched EVERYTHING before she let me view any movie or TV show to understand the point that was trying to be made and whether she felt the subject matter was appropriate for me. (This is what parents SHOULD do). Instead of just thinking, 'Oh, Muppets... Jim Henson... Must be OK for her to watch,' she previewed it and was surprised by the angle of the film.
