This is a must for any Blues Clues VHS collection. It begins with Steve interacting with 3 children to learn the birthday candle dance to perform at Blues Big Birthday Party. After he learns the dance Steve skidoos back to his house and the episode begins. Excellent for young children learning about birthdays. Most importantly parents, this tape does not include Joe!

I acknowledge the flaw pointed out by another reviewer that going around with a magnifying glass looking at things does not exactly constitute an experiment, but it's easy to forgive that since there are so many other good things in this video. This is my personal favorite, and my three and a half son loves it too. As a result, we've had to reenact the cyclone experiment and traipse around with a magnifying glass. The planets song is the highlight of the whole tape: a fun, catchy way to remember them all.

This a cute fun video and one of my favorite blues clues videos. I'm a home daycare provider. Over the yrs I have collected over 100 kids videos. Blue's Big Pajama Party seems to entertain my daycare kids ages 14 months to 5 yrs greatly. I also enjoy singing along to the tunes. I do agree with the one reviewer who was bother by the a dream catcher part of the video. I think they should have at least say something on the box about this. Some people really don't want their children to know about this new age teaching. But saying that I still would have bought this video for the other parts of the video. I like that this video tries to help children understand that we all have bad dreams and that we can change are dreams if we think really hard.

Kids can't seem to help but like Blue and all her friends. They are bright and colorful. The songs are interesting and repeated each episode to make it easy for the children to memorize. The arts and crafts on this tape can easily be replicated at home with your own children.

I guess we have more Blues Clues videos and DVDs than any other character. He's been a favorite of my son's since before he was one year old. Now he's almost 2 1/2 and has begun to develop more serious tastes. He'll actually watch many more programs geared towards older kids, and even adults, but he still likes his Blues Clues now and then. This holiday Blues is very special for a couple of reasons. "Blues first Holiday" tells the tale of how Steve first met Blue. The other surprise is that it even features Steve's brother Joe when Joe was just a baby. The second episode is "Joe's Surprise Party" has the whole gange getting ready for Joe's surprise birthday party while trying to keep it secret from Joe.
