VHS : Godfather Trilogy 1901-1980
This trilogy is by far the most excilerating ever. It tells the story of the rise and fall of the Corleone crime family. Although this is a fictional story, It is one of the best stories that portrays the acts of a real Mafia family. After Vito Corleone(Michael's father) dies, it is up to Michael to take up the family business. Michael finds himself turning into one of the most feared gangters of his time. Watch this action packed film with plenty of mind blowing suprises. It is an all around great trilogy staring;Al Pacino,Marlin Brando,Robert Deniro and other great actors.

I saw this when I was 10 and just saw it again. It was awful then and worse now. A complete waste of time and talent. Idiotic and stupid. Bad, Bad, Bad.

VHS : Dr Strangelove
A very intelligent yet hilarious look at the insanity of war and those responsible for waging it in the nuclear age. Full of 4 Star performances by Peter Sellers (in multiple roles), Sterling Hayden, George C. Scott and Slim Pickens, the epitome of the commie-fighting cowboy

The behind-the-scenes companion DVD is just as much of a treat as the film itself: the set designers made educated guesses as to the interior of a B-52 bomber, and turned out to be so accurate that the Air Force got concerned and Stanley Kubrick was worried that the FBI would come after him; Peter Sellers was originally set to play the Slim Pickens role in addition to the President, Group Captain Mandrake, and Dr. Strangelove -- but a dispute with Kubrick, Sellers own near-exhaustion from playing 3 other roles, plus an ... VHS : Denver & The Rio Grande
Pop your popcorn and settle in for a 1950's-style Matinee Western that from an acting point of view is just barely a B-movie, but railroad enthusiasts will watch this VHS over and over again.

The true stars of this flick are the old Denver & Rio Grande narrow gauge from Durango to Silverton, and the Colorado scenery. Rio Grande enthusiasts will also be totally intrigued by the rare opening footage of Rio Grande ALCO PA's in silver paint for CZ duty, and many FT and F3 covered wagons still in black paint fresh from the EMD factory erecting floors. There is even a short cab ride through Glenwood Canyon, and an interesting long shot at Dotsero.

Engines 268 and 315 are in bumble bee makeup, and while the story line is both campy and corny, the many action shots of these fine machines are truly ... Read More

VHS : King of the Gypsies
This movie was just outstanding and an overlooked and forgotten classic. The movie was just a fascinating look at the world of the Gypsies in America. A very young Eric Roberts shines as the grandson of the King of the Gypsies brilliantly played by the legendary Sterling Hayden. Judd Hirsh of Taxi fame is great as Roberts buffoon of a father who's jealous and brutish ways tear his family apart. You will also see Susan Sarandon and a very young Brooke Shields.

This movie ranks right up there with the best of the best in my opinion. The costumes, the cinematography and the casting was tops. Combine all that with an interesting and compelling story and you have a classic film.

VHS : The Final Programme
I suppose I'm lucky I hadn't read this in book form prior to seeing it on HBO in the 70's. My daughter and I must have watched it 10 times. It is crazy-fun, whacky, so silly and charming, yet dark - Clockwork Orangeish mixed with Dr. Strangelove but not. Michael Moorcock is one of my favorite sci fi authors and this film (though I gather he hates) really captures how funny he is in the most unexpected of ways. If you love the odd, get it.
