VHS : Because of Him
In BECAUSE OF HIM (1946), a delightful backstage comedy, Deanna Durbin was joined by two of her most popular male co-stars: Charles Laughton ("It Started with Eve"), and Franchot Tone ("Nice Girl?", "His Butler's Sister").

Based on a story entitled "Catherine the Last" by Edmund Beloin and Sig Herzig, Deanna plays Kim Walker, a young waitress in New York who wishes to become a serious stage actress. She uses an autograph belonging to esteemed Broadway actor John Sheridan (Charles Laughton) in order to land an audition for his upcoming play, "Strange Laughter", written by Mr Paul Taylor (Franchot Tone). Both men soon discover Kim's deception and she's politely told to give up. But Kim's roommate Nora (Helen Broderick) cheekily contacts all the newspapers with the story that Kim ... Read More

VHS : Shadow Conspiracy
This is a great movie if you like political intrigue, action and suspense, and if you're a fan of Donald Sutherland and Charlie Sheen. This movie is almost more relevant today than it was when it was made. Great cast and attention-getting, creative plot, with its fair share of twists and turns. If you've never seen this movie, you should!

VHS : Spider-Man (2002)
Spider-man is a hugely popular film franchise, and it's not without good reason. The first film is great with good acting, great special effects and music, and a great starting point for the story. It involves Peter Parker getting bitten by some kind of genetically enhanced spider, giving him the famous powers Spider-man is known for. After that you get the green goblin involved (a guy who does a science experiment on himself... but it doesn't go so well) and you have some good fight scenes and some cheesy but funny lines. There are a few particularly memorable scenes, the cage fight near the film's beginning being one of them. So overall I highly recommend Spider-man to anyone who likes action movies and now that it's offered for such cheap prices you barely have any excuse to not see it!

VHS : Runaway Jury
This film squanders the considerable talents of several A-list actors with an unbelievable plot and a predictable and moralizing ending.

It's not that I disagree with the theme - I'm no fan of guns - but the concept of the film is simply ludicrous. I won't give away any details, but suffice it to say that this film thinks that conspiracy - no matter how silly, and twists - no matter how nonsensical, will somehow add up to an engaging court drama.

The original script must have been pretty good for these distinguished actors to sign on to the project. I guess someone ran away with that version, because the final product is terrible.

VHS : Legally Blonde 2: Red White & Blonde (Spec Slip)
If you loved Reese Witherspoon in "Walk the Line," you'll wonder why she got involved with the movie- it's just bad from one end to the other. Even Bob Newhart stinks, and that's rare.

The plot is stupid, the jokes aren't funny, and the even the DVD case can't be reused because it's pink.

After we bought this stinker, we couldn't even sell it on E-bay.

9.My Mother's Secret Life starring: Loni Anderson, Paul Sorvino, Amanda Wyss, James Sutorius, Sandy McPeak

VHS : My Mother's Secret Life
Movie is well scripted and well acted. Loni Anderson plays an over the hill prostitute, whose life is changed when her daughter comes to live with her. Movie gives an indepth look about the seedy side of prostitution. Loni gives a better than average performance and so does Amanda Wyss as Loni's daughter. Nice views of San Francisco in movie and Loni proves she doesn't have to get out her Social Security card for income. Fully recommend to viewers. A+

10.Canadian Bacon starring: Alan Alda, Kenner Ames, Beth Amos, Stanley Anderson, James Belushi

I saw this when i was a kid and i remember that it was really good. The rose colored glasses of my youth did not tint this movie at all, it is still in my top 20 favorite movies of all time.
