This movie is too funny!!! I have seen this movie with my husband like over 50 times, and I still love it! A funny Sinbad plays a man out to make money. He schemes and finds his way into a loving family home, and all kinds of heck breaks loose! The head of the family, played by Phil Hartman, believes that Sinbad is his oldest friend in the world. This movie shows how great friends can be, and will keep you laughing, no matter how many times you see it!! There are also a couple of mobsters that make the movie very funny!! A must see family movie for every one!!!!!

I saw this movie on TV years ago, and I was very impressed with the concept of comodoties.Unfortunately with power and money also comes responsibilities, but wasn't expecting murder. Two years ago, I saw a small article in the local newspaper that said that people have seen Ron Levin(the guy that Joe had killed) at restaurants and at the theatre. People claim that he was a con artist and that he faked his own death to put Joe away for life.

This is a funny, well acted look at the Negro Leagues and barnstorming before the integration of Major League Baseball. Many of the details in the movie are based on historical facts. There really was a woman owner in the Negro Leagues, for example. More to the point, the movie correctly illustrates some of the greed and corruption within the league, as well as some of the issues the players faced. It also captures the experience of a barnstorming club and the often clownish antics players sometimes had to engage in to attract attention. It also is a pretty funny movie starring Billy Dee Williams as a Satchel Paige-esque pitcher who's supremely self-confident, so much so that he throws his world famous "Invite Pitch" to hitters without players manning the field. James Earl Jones is a treat ... Read More

VHS : Runaway
I haven't seen this movie since I was a kid all those years ago, and it's future is pretty much as I remember. Do ya love films made in the past predicting what the future would be like....and getting it so wrong and dated in the process? Wow, then Runaway is for you. Best put, the world's now serviced by robots, not really smart human-like robots but more of the HAL/Doctor Who's Daleks kind. Tom Selleck's a cyber-policeman who you basically call when your robot starts acting crazy, and Gene Simmons (yes, that tongue-enhanced KISS demon who took off his make-up only one year prior) as a madman computer programmer who wants to turn The Jetsons Rosie into his own version of Blade Runner's Replicants. In fact, think of this film as a product of the popularity of 1982's Blade Runner, except much, much ... Read More

VHS : Harlem Nights
Harlem Nights is a vanity project and vanity projects usually stink. Now I wont go as far as to say that Harlem Nights stinks because it doesnt but when you think about all the talent that was involved it is disappointing.

Plot: Sugar Ray(Richard Pryor) and Quick(Eddie Murphy)run a nightclub in Harlem and have to end up dealing with a crooked cop called Phil Cantone(Danny Aiello) and jealous night club owner called Bugsy Calhoun(Michael Lerner).

Opinion: Harlem Nights is funny in the first 30 minutes and somewhere in the middle of the movie. The problem is that humor misses more than hits most of the time. When it becomes conscious that it was supposed to be a comedy it tries too hard and ends up falling flat. Two examples: the scene where Arsenio Hall and his goons square off ... Read More

VHS : Fear
Fear is a really well-acted thriller that for some reason is not on dvd. Not a run of the mill thriller either, with cool twists. For a movie this intense, it gets funny at times (Sheedy is funny getting people to believe she has ESP.)

10.Busted Up starring: Garfield Andrews, Albert Bernardo, George Buza, Irene Cara, Paul Coufos

VHS : Busted Up
This movie is a story about a small time boxer who decide to fight for charity, even after his girlfriend instisted not to, he did with the promise of never boxing again. It's also about having a love for something and coming to a crossroad with it . Irene Cara, plays a mother and night club singer who has to decide on a singing career or her family. Paul Coufos, plays the boxer and father who also has to decide on a boxing career or his family. The movie really never goes anywhere the direction is slow and the movie itself is low budget which makes it really seem dated. What I do like about the movie are its two lead actors, who do an okay job. I also like the music Cara, wrote and sang for this movie.
