VHS : Prancer Returns
We ordered this movie because I thought it would be some what a continue from Prancer. No this is a whole different movie and different actors. It is still a good family film to watch for Christmas. Out of the two movies my favorite is Prancer.

VHS : Houdini (1998)
This is a TV movie covering the career, life and afterlife of the illusionist Harry Houdini/Ehrich Weiss. It is a romanticized skeletal treatment, covering the basics of the man (raised in poverty, self taught magician, life long mother issues, medium debunker) without any real depth or showing anything new. It is a well done enough production, recreating some of Houdini's daring feats, and the acting is decent (and Johnathon Schaech certainly looks fit enough to pull off Houdini's escapes and high tolerance for pain) but ultimately it is a frame without a portrait, non revealing of the Ehrich behind the Harry.

Favorite Line: "I fell in love with Ehrich Weiss; I put up with Harry Houdini."

This is an amazing movie where Edward Norton gives a spectacular performance. Edward Norton starts out as an unrepentant white supremacist but after his jail experience, he comes out trying to save his younger brother from that life. It is an amazing movie about how racism and hatred doesn't get you anywhere and leaves last ripples. It is somewhat graphic so it is not for the younger crowd. It's amazing from start to finish and the ending leave you stunned (and I cried). It is a must own for anyone who enjoys drama films, Edward Norton, and movies with a lesson behind them.

I agree,a good classic even though it had nothing to do w/"The Shape",it
holds up well as it's own.Tom Atkins is great.

I own a copy on vhs from 1982(I know,u guy's might say"hey update to dvd").

but when I pop that sucker in the old VCR,it brings back the good old day's when life was much simpler.

And there was no such thing as CGI!!!.

So,if u have not seen this movie,go buy it or rent it now!!!!.

Merry X-mas too all!!!!!!!!.

This showed the lives in the racing circut. A lot of times it is not all fun and games. You have to learn how to balance the two. Sometimes things go wrong and you have to roll with the punches.

Truly awful, this. Bacall has all the subtlety and comic timing of...well, Lauren Bacall when miscast and misdirected. John Mahoney has some redeeming moments, and Harry Hamlin (in the John Barrymore role) isn't really half-bad; once you accept that his character would do shirtless stomach crunches to impress his young girlfriend. (Sure, Barrymore was brilliantly hammy...but never beefcake. Nobody ever asked to see HIS abs.) All in all, an embarrassment that isn't even Bad Campy Fun. It's just Bad.

I saw this flick on cable while laid up sick during the holidays. This movie was like a bad LIFETIME Channel film for gay men. It's about a gay guy who has a girl for a best friend (shock, there. They complain how they can't find a good man (okay, Madonna/ OK Rupert--I'm not basing the chracters on the peoeple who play them, but, heck, they are both very attractive poeple--I hate when attactive poeple complain about "not finding someone"--could it be it's becuase their shallowness gets in their way cuase they want to find love with their eyes rather than their hearts?)

So, One night, these two "friends" have too much to drink and they sleep together (Yeah, this always happens with Gay Men, too!) She gets pregnant, the two decide to keep the kid. Fast Forward six years, Madonna's character finds ... Read More

VHS : In the Company of Men
Two alpha-male business men on a business trip, Chad (Aaron Eckhart) and Howard (Matt Malloy), set out to destroy a deaf woman, Christine (Stacy Edwards), by getting her to fall in love with them and then dumping her, in order to get revenge on women in general.

"In the Company of Men" is possibly one of the most mean-spirited and misanthropic movies that I have ever seen (I say misanthropic rather than misogynistic, since, although many of the characters in the film are misogynists, the one major female character in this film, Christine, is presented as a nice person who does not deserve to be tormented by the likes of Chad, while the male characters are presented as being complete jerks). As a result, it is not a film to be enjoyed (although I did laugh, in spite of myself, at a number of places throughout ... Read More

VHS : Bachelor
Jimmie finds out he has about a day to get married or else he loses his $100 million inheritance. After botching his proposal to Anne he goes through his past list of girlfriends to find a wife by the deadline. The problem is none of the ladies says yes. With just hours left before he has to say "I Do" or "Sayanara to the money" Jimmie's best friend puts an ad on the front page of the San Francisco Herald. Brides turn out galore for the wedding at St. Patrick's Parish and its a mad dash to the altar. Jimmie's big problem is that he has too many options and must confront his bachelor indulgences. Its an ending that is typical of romantic comedy that is light and easy to watch.
