VHS : Manions of America
This is the story of Rory O'Manion (Pierce Brosnan) from young adult hood and his fight against the oppressive English in Ireland. From the potato famine and loss of his mother, to his love for the English landlord's daughter Rachel (Kate Mulgrew: of Star Trek Voyager),and subsequent flight to the shores of America. From poor to rich in America, but still longing for the freedom for his beloved Ireland. Also starring Linda Purl (The Exorcist), Nicholas Hammond (Sound of Music, Spiderman), David Soul (Starsky & Hutch), and Simon MacCorkindale. Very moving, interesting to watch Pierce Brosnan in the early days of his career.

VHS : Riddle of the Sands
Elswhere on these boards I have written a review of the Erskine Childers novel of the same name upon which this movie is based, drawing attention to its significance in helping shape British defence and foreign policy in the first decade of the last century by highlighting the threat Germany posed to Britain's Eastern defences in particular .
No such considerations are likely to enter the minds of those watching this movie as they will take it for what it is -a beautifully shot ,and exciting tale of espionage and sailing .
The heroes are Carruthers (Micheal York ) and Davies (Simon McCorkindale)who embark on a sailing holiday off the German coast where they stumble upon German naval plans to launch on attack on Britain .Can they get the news of the plan back to an unsuspecting British ... Read More

Yes, it's goofy. I love Richard Lynch. He can play really ugly characters and not need special makeup (kinda like Ron Pearlman). Lee Horsley ... did this son of a gun fall off the earth? In a minor part as one of Cromwell's villanous hordes is Robert Tessier. Best remembered for his cage fight in HARD TIMES (where old Charlie Bronson beat on his pointy-bald head like a drum). If you don't ask for much thsn this film delivers.

Death on the Nile (1978)

A good mix of American and European actors.
Older audiences will recognize the cast of the day.

Mia Farrow
Betty Davis
Angela Lansbury (Murder She Wrote)--> who brings some humor to the story
Olivia Hussey (Romeo and Juliet 1968)
Lois Chiles (James Bond Moonraker)
Peter Ustinov
David Niven

David Suchet, the current Poirot of 2004, is definitely the better Poirot.

Maybe with a little CGI technology and reinacting, Suchet can be included with the 1978 film.
Far fetched? It worked with an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space 9. The cast went back in time to the days of Kirk and Spock in "Trouble with Tribbles" episode.

5.Wing Commander (1999) starring: Ken Bones, Saffron Burrows, Richard Dillane, David Fahm, Ginny Holder

Yes, I am impressed! I remember playing the video games of the same name back in the day, and this movie stuck to the plot of the games as best it could. Decent sci-fi action, and decent acting make for an enjoyable movie.

VHS : Harlequin Romance Series: At Midnight Hour
Now I've watched four Harlequins Romance (Broken Lullaby, Diamond Girl, Hard to Forget) I thought At the Midnight Hour had a very cute story and solid acting from everyone. Richard sorta wasn't my type (he looked like a mix of Jeff Bridges, Kurt Russell and Nick Nolte) I guess Ilike dark haired guys, but we was still good. Liz was definitely good looking. I believed the chemistry between them. The story was pretty cute, and that whole mystery. All in all very enjoyable and cute!

VHS : Family of Cops
Anyone that has any sense whatsoever, knows that a Bronson tv movie action film isn't going to have too much on plot. He made these "Family of Cops" films as entertainment, not as a thinking man's drama or a serious action picture. His performance in this one is top notch though. If you want to see Charlie at his best watch "Once Upon A Time In The West" but, in the meantime meet the "Family of Cops" and Paul Fein played by Charles Bronson.

VHS : Jaws 3
I loveeee the Jaws movies but this one was terrible. It just didn't fit in with the rest of them. Kind of like how Halloween 3 doesn't fit in with the rest of the Halloweens.
