This is one of those "so bad they are good" movies. Not quite as good as the classic "No Retreat No Surrender" (although the style of the movie is very similar), its still good enough to be enjoyed. Loren Avedon I must say is very unique in all his martial arts films. I can never decide if I really enjoy his presence or despise it. His acting is rather lousy, but to the point its almost fun. He tries to be funny, and it sometimes ends up being so just for trying. As for fighitng, he actually is very athletic in his earlier films, and this is no exception. Once again Jeff Wincott (Mission of Justice, Deadly Bet, Fatal Combat) stars in another above average martial arts flick. Though Martial Law II isn't the best out there in my opinion, it is one of the best well-rounded B-action movies with great action, good story, and enjoyable characters. In addition to the wonderful Wincott, Cynthia Rothrock (Tiger Claws 1,2,3, No Retreat No Surrender 2, China O'Brien), another popular martial artist, co-stars in Martial Law II. Third movie in the boxset. I've always wanted to see this for some time after seeing a Pay-Per-View promo. I've also been a fan of actress Lisa Zane for some time. The movie centers around a nurse named Laura Harriman who becomes traumatized after seeing her father kill himself over an embezzlement scandel, after he kills his own family, except for Laura. She then becomes bent on getting even with stroke victim Bob Martin (Played by Michael Fairman from Dead Silence) who is parylzed and at the same time mute. She gets a chance to do so when she gets a job as his private nurse. Laura gets her revenge by killing members of the Martin family one by one. She also lusts after her unattainable english teacher, and soon explodes in a rampage of murderous revenge. I especially enjoyed her way of dealing with granny's tiresome dog. Oopsy daisy! Bowzer's had an accident! Poor pup! Of course, granny soon followed. Ms. McGowan has a vicious charm in her role that I found... well, hot! DEVIL IN THE FLESH has a modest but memorable body-count. After all, it's the quality, not the quantity that counts...

This movie was purchased to add to our biker collection. It was a little different, but all in all a good movie. I had no idea at the time, it was about 2 girls hitting the road on their bikes..in search of purchasing the Easy Rider bike that was in storage at an old shop somewhere. I would give it 4 stars and it was worth the cost and time viewed..

The other glowing review about this movie fooled me into renting it. Well, I really wanted to see it because Laura Harring is in it, and she's a babe. But she doesn't save this bomb. Richard Grieco plays the same role over and over again and this flick is no different. He's an outcast with a chip on his shoulder in most of his roles and he rides a motorcycle whenever possible. This time he's a cop who left the force because he couldn't stand the rampant corruption. Yet he continues to have an affair with the police chief's wife (Priscilla Barnes in flashback). He wakes up with a hangover to find her murdered body and flees the scene. Has he been set up? Hmmmm... This looks like it was a made for TV movie, and a B-movie at that.
