Well, I have to kick myself in the butt.. The Stepfather series is perhaps the best slasher series since the original psycho. Although pt 2 and 3 had been released on dvd, I hesitated on purchaseing them due to hoping the 1st movie would be released, which it never has. Now that I have waited, it looks like pt 2 and 3 are soon to be no longer avaliable on dvd... Does this mean that there will be a boxed set released with pt 1, 2, and 3 together? God I hope so. If this were so I would buy it without a doubt. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RELEASE ALL THREE STEPFATHER DVDS TOGETHER!

VHS : If Ever I See You Again
This was a very good movie or let's say script. I'm not a big fan of movie remakes but I think that this is one movie that should be remade with better actors and well known top notch actors. I still would leave this movie in the 70's decade don't update it to today's time.

But I think this movie would have been much better and much better received if it had "big stars" such as Robert Redford and yes even Barbra Streisand or someone of that caliber back then. I'd like to see this movie make it big and receive the attention it really deserved and still does deserve.

VHS : The Brady Bunch Movie
When this movie first came out in the mid 90's at the height of the 70's revival and in the midst of an epidemic of TV show inspired quickie movies, I wasn't that interested. I was over it all frankly. I remembered watching it on cable (not bothering to see it in the theater) and while even then I was blown away by the future Mrs. Ben Stiller's dead perfect Marcia Brady, I was put off by the tone of the movie.

How did this 70's family just appear in modern times? Why were they stuck in the 70's? It didn't make any sense.

Of course I needn't have bothered with such worrisome questions- after all this is a Sherwood Schwartz production and thinking is the last thing you need to do while watching "The Brady Bunch Movie".

Watching the movie again recently for ... Read More

VHS : The King of Comedy
Be forewarned, this is not a laugh out loud comedy that will have you rolling in the isles. It is a more subtle yet utterly hysterical satire that pokes fun at the road to fame and the dim-witted hacks that clutter that said road. It exposes the disease that it fame and how easy it is for one to deceive themselves into thinking they have what it takes; and then again how easy it is for someone who lacks talent to make it on pure ambition alone.

`The King of Comedy' revolves around Robert Pupkin, a delusional wannabe comedian who sees local late night talk show host Jerry Langford as his ticket to the big leagues. Every night on the `Jerry Show' they have a `King of Comedy' and Pupkin desires to be that said king. He tries to corner Jerry, prodding him with material and asking him to ... Read More

VHS : Finishing Touch
I have come to love and respect Arnold Vosloo for his acting abilities. Before The Mummy and The Mummy Returns he has acted in several movies with great precision. He is a SCENE STEALER! Vosloo has a wonderful way of taking an otherwise poor script and turning it to gold. The intensity he puts into this performance as a vicious murder suspect is fantastic...it was almost painful for to watch...yes he is that good! Vosloo is much; much thinner in this movie with bleached blonde hair, but feature changes does not detract from the performance. Those beautiful down turned eyes and curly smile still shines through the TV screen.

Someone in LA is killing young women...but not before captioning them in erotic poses and then killing them-on tape. These tapes are then sold overseas. Sam Stone (Michael ... Read More

Torok the Troll King wants to dominate the world and bring his dark kingdom forth by starting at an apartment where a former Witch bride turned nemesis, now resides. With his Magical ring, he takes the form of a little girl named Wendy Potter, who just came to live there with her family, and was placed into suspended animation. He thereby goes about causing mischief among the residents of the rooms:

There's swinging playboy with the likely name of "Peter Dickinson" {played by Sonny Bono}, a fanatical Vet, diminuative Professor Malcolm Mallory {who gets a second chance at life, thanks to Torok}, a college student couple, and of course, Harry Potter Jr. and Sr. {much before J.K. Rowling's series, perhaps whence she lifted the name}. One by one, they are each engulfed into a pod which transforms ... Read More

Single Bars, Single Women was an 1984 TV Movie that takes on the singles scene mainly from a women's point of view. A wry sexy drama that explores close friends on the brink of womanhood who attempt to meet men at a singles bar. The action takes place at Bandini's a water hole for the lonely and broken hearted.

A great ensemble cast of TV show greats make up the regulars at Bandini's including Paul Michael Glaser ( starsky and hutch) Shelley Hack, Tony Danza ( taxi ) Christine Lahti , Emmy Award Winner Mare Winningham, Jean Smart ( frasier) and also with actor/director Keith Gordon (christine and back to school). VHS : A Very Brady Sequel
I adored the first `Brady Bunch' movie. I was such a huge fan of the show (reruns) as a child and to watch the sitcom get ripped apart in such a respectful way (you can tell that they wanted to honor the films ridiculousness as apposed to trash it) gave me such a warm and fuzzy feeling all over. What is nice about this `Brady Bunch' sequel is that it builds off the same scenario, trapping the Brady's in a time warp where there brand of style and general life keeps them segregated from the rest of society, and in doing this they have set themselves up for ample laughs. What is sad at the same time though is that a lot of the laughs seem repetitive, as if we've seen this once before.

The film follows the Brady's as they are faced with a wrench in their tightly knit family circle. Yes, a man shows ... Read More
