I originally liked this movie because it's basically a spoof of 'family values' (alot of trite cliches thrown around in a comedic/clever manner)....So i was quite pleased when the tape arrived quickly & the picture-value' was a quality one--Quite pleased!

ok there are like 4-5 reviews on this film and being a big fan of the original corman classic i feel this film does not live up to the original.its watchable but the original has a cult status that is insane and will live on in infamy.
however in all of the reviews of this classic remake i have not heard any mention of the final scene where the monsters come out of the sea and attack the fishing village during the cumminity fair was the same exact footage from the original corman classic, they just inserted a good 10-15 minutes of the original film into the remake some twenty years later.am i the only one who notices this as i had not read any other comment on this bizzare twist.???

They did a great job with this movie, it's not easy moving a story from book to screen. David Soul did a wonderful acting job as Alex Wolff. His mix of bad guy and a romantic were very well done and realistic. Cliff Robertson was also great, as well as the locations for shooting. Some spy type movies tend to get boring for me, but the casting in this, as well as a great story made it anything but boring. It's a long film, 3 hours, but because the film is so good, time flies by very quickly. It's definetly a movie you will watch more than once. In fact, it's one of only a very few 3 hour films I watch repeatedly. In my opinion, David Soul was the movie's biggest asset.

I didn't read the book that this movie is based on but I saw the movie Caddie Woodlawn on TV and I thought it was good. It stars Emily Schulman as Caddie a free spirited tomboyish girl living in the pioneer days. If you like this movie I also recommend the TV show Christy in which Emily Schulman played one of the students of the title character (I think the character she played was named Ruby Mae) and I also recommend Little House on the Prairie and Anne Of Green Gables.

VHS : Total Exposure
When a film is produced with virtually no apparent attempt being made to achieve something original within its footage, one often tends to look for creative fillips here or there from the direction, screenplay, dialogue or acting, but here such are few and far between. During this by the numbers work, a former policeman who had been "asked to resign" (tacitly due to his incorruptibility), is now the wonted private eye, in this case hired by a fashion photographer seeking a way out of a knotty predicament. The plight that the photographer, Andi Robinson (Season Hubley), must attempt to avoid is her pending arrest for the murder of one of her models, Kathy (Deborah Driggs), who smuggled a kilo of cocaine into the United States from Mexico, utilizing Andi's luggage following a photo session at Acapulco, and because Andi has a felony record ...
