VHS : Powder
SPOILER ALERT!!!

Sean Patrick Flanery is almost unrecognizable in this movie about an Albino boy with extrodinary powers. While still in the womb, Powder's mother is struck by lightning while standing in a puddle. She is lost but her son survives. Gifted with incredible intellect, telepathy, and paranormal powers over electricity, Powder is pulled from his sheltered life after both grandparents have died and is tossed into the care of the state.

Children can be so cruel but never underestimate the power of the human spirit. This movie will make you feel warm and fuzzy all over.

VHS : The Boondock Saints
Due to lack of advertising, I didn't see this movie til a few years after its release when a good friend of mine bought it for me and I'm very glad he did. This movie is up there with my top favorite movies. Buy this movie, you won't be disappointed...and if you are, I doubt it'll take you long to find a new owner for your Boondock Saints.

VHS : Adventures of Young Indiana Jones, Chapter 10 - The Phantom Train of Doom
It must be Indiana Jones! German East Africa, 1916:

After taking the wrong train... twice, and managing to get lost even further still, Indy and Remy find themselves in the hands of the British Army instead of their own Belgians. With a promise to be returned to their own lines ASAP, Indy is shanghaied by a group of elderly commandos on a mission to find and destroy the Germans' newest secret weapon, an enormous cannon mounted on the flat car of a train; a train that seems to have the ability to vanish into thin air! Once free of that mission, Indy is tricked again, and soon finds himself in a balloon with Remy and a German strategic genius they've taken prisoner, flying low across the African landscape with enemy forces in hot pursuit.

The Phantom Train of Doom is another excellent chapter ... Read More

VHS : Adventures of Young Indiana Jones, Chapter 18 - Treasure of the Peacock's Eye
The Treasure of the Peacock's Eye is a great Indy film. The movie starts out with Indy in a battle at the end of World War 1. Then he gets a map off a man whose last words were "The Eye of the Peacock" Indy returns from the war and does some research and finds out that the Eye is a huge diamond! Indy and his partner set out to find the Eye, but encounter more than they bargained for. This Young Indiana Jones film is full of action and is a good typical Indy movie. A+

VHS : Adventures of Young Indiana Jones, Chapter 11 - Oganga, The Giver and Taker of Life
I thought, from reading the description, that this would be boring. But it wasn't, not by a long shot. It's probably the best "Young Indy".

The action is limited to the first five or so minutes, where Lieutenant De Fonz (aka Indy) disobeys his superior and tells the troops to advance instead of retreat. This results in victory, and a promotion to Captain, but also the Major holding a grudge. Naturally, Indy and the Major are then teamed up on a mission to retrieve some weapons.

The opening battle sequence was even more graphic then "Trenches of Hell", and when Indy grabs the machine gun and mows done countless men, we see just how far he's come (or fallen) in less than a year. I love this one for all the character developement Indy undergoes, especially in relation to the previous videos. It's ... Read More

VHS : Adventures of Young Indiana Jones, Chapter 16 - Tales of Innocence
The first half is a hoot the whole way through, it has to be the funniest Young Indy episode. The ending is great; I remember being surprised when I first watched it on TV, so I won't give it away. I'll just say Giulietta isn't as naive as she seemed.

To the second half. This one wasn't supposed to be amusing, but it was. First off I'll say that I did not like Edith Wharton, and from what I've read about her books, I wouldn't like them either. (Basically they're about people with repressed passions, who have affairs that ruin their lives...blah). Edith is obviously going through a midlife crises, and sees Indy as a potential boy toy to make her feel young again. Indy sees her as a mother figure, though a couple lines at the end try to convince us he wishes he were his father's age so he could have a romantic ... Read More

I usually come to Hallmark movies with high hopes but expectations that they'll be dashed. This is one Hallmark movie that I wanted to run out an buy once I saw. It's well-written and poetic. I would definitely recommend it.

VHS : Body Shots (Unrated Edition)
Body Shots is a film that should have been promoted more and seen by more people. The film has sharp dialouge, smooth wit and Tara Reid nude. David McKenna has written another good script which is his follow up to Amercian History X and the cast of up and comers are all good. Ron Livingston as Trent makes the movie as Trent with his one-liners and further more we get to see Tara Reid show her goods.
