VHS : Teletubbies: Dance With the Teletubbies
If you want to get some things done around the house put on any one of the Teletubbies videos. They have put all of my children in a trance when watching. I have a 10 yr old down to a 19 mo old and my 19 mo old watches the same Teletubbies videos my 10 yr, 8yr and 5 yr old used to watch. Great investment...

My son is now 2 yrs old & only Teletubbies really captures his attention & he finds it hilarious! We enjoy the "Grand ol Duke of York" sung by King Pleasure & the Biscuit Boys.
I thought I'd never let him watch this show but, he really likes it & it really isn't that bad at all. It is educational....

Bought the original VHS copy in 1980. Have all but worn it out. Have been searching for another copy only to find that later versions are shorter in length. This version, with Rickey Schroeder and Alec Guiness, needs to be on DVD in the original full length. Loaned it to many friends and received the same review by all ages.

VHS : Merry Christmas Teletubbies
This video is cute. It is filled with the typical Teletubbie antics- dancing, tumbling, repitition etc. Two video tapes to sit through is a little bit too much Teletubbies for me. However, there are some natural stopping points built in, similar to other Teletubbie videos. You can easily let your child watch a 20 minute segment and turn it off and you are not turning it off in the middle of something.

Although my three year old has turned onto other things like Sesame Street, Dragon Tales and others, he still enjoys the Teletubbies. My 20 month old really enjoys this video.

I realize there is some controversy with Teletubbies. However, I think they teach sharing, caring, being nice, cleaning up after yourself. I have also read many reviews which say that Teletubbies don't ... Read More

VHS : Teletubbies - Favorite Things
A very powerful and emotional video that captures what life is really like in teletubbie land. I would recomend it to children over the age of 50. as small children may eat small parts.

VHS : Teletubbies - Christmas in the Snow
I absolutely love this DVD because it has so many entertaining clips that differ from the rest of the series because of the unique snowy environment. My daughter loves to watch the Tubbies go sliding down a snowy hill and build a snow Tubby. The clips of real children around the world celebrating Christmas are also a lot of fun, and the music from those clips is carried through the rest of the video.

VHS : Teletubbies - Funny Day
A pink fluffy cloud comes inside and this is thrilling to the Teletubbies, until they have to live with the fluffy cloud for any amount of time. Then they realize what a mess it makes. A big string comes down and as the Teletubbies pull and pull on it, a big mess is made and again, NooNoo has to clean up. Custard is dropped and messes are made and fun is had by everyone.

Although this whole movie is one long movie about making messes and the funny things that can happen, there are short segments in there that make for good breaking points when watching this show. This way children can watch a short 10 min. section and not feel like they were left hanging. I find this important for my little boy who likes closure.

What makes the Teletubbies so fun to children is their predictability. ... Read More

My Goffin's Cockatoo is mad about the Teletubbies and just loves her Baby Animals tape! I pop that tape in and she is just riveted to the tube and talks and makes sounds along with the tape. My Amazon watches as well. It's a nice diversion when I have company or need to make a few phone calls - long live our Baby Animals tape!!!

Here are a few fun facts about television and videos:

- the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no television at all to children under two years of age.
- for every hour of television a baby watches daily, their chances of acquiring an attention deficit disorder increases by 10%
- In a study among babies ages 8-16 months, every hour spent watching programs daily such as 'Brainy Baby' or 'Baby Einstein' translated into 6-8 fewer words in their vocabularies as compared with other children their age
- brain wave activity is slower when watching television than when sleeping in babies.

"Signing Time" (Two Little Hands Productions) DVDs is an alternative option for OCCASIONAL video viewing because at least communicating in sign language is proven to:
