VHS : Nestor the Long Eared Christmas Donkey
This is probably one of my all time favorite Christmas Specials! I wish they had it on DVD!

I first saw this special 17 years ago when I was 12 years old. And yes, at that poignant moment everyone has spoken of I wept. I get teary when I tell people about the special and talk about that part. Many people have never even heard of this special! It's short and sweet, and once you see it you'll want to make it part of your holiday traditions!

Many children today don't even know the story behind Christmas, and think it's only about Santa Claus, Rudolph and presents. Now that my boys are 4 and 6 I've started talking about the meaning behind it all, and would love for them to see this touching little story. I think it's important for children to know that there are those ... Read More

VHS : Yours Mine & Ours
Yours, MIne and Ours is a sweet family film but some of the scenes are kind of boring and unfunny. Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda have great chemistry together, in the movie both of them have a lot of children and when they get married, boy talk about a blended family! Some of the kids are annoying, some are helpful. If you like The Brady Bunch then you'll probably enjoy this flick. Enjoy!

VHS : Free Willy 3: The Rescue (P&S Clam)
When you get to the third film in any series there is usually a drop in quality. 'Free Willy 3' is surprisingly good for a second sequel. the story of whaler's hunting Willy and his family is the most exciting film of the series. This film shows some character development as the whale hunters aren't shown as 1 dimensional characters. The DVD transfer is very good and I rate this film 3 stars.

7.Limbic Region starring: Edward James Olmos, George Dzundza, Roger R. Cross, Gwynyth Walsh, Don S. Davis

Edward James Olmos and George Dzundza turn in excellent performances in this thinly veiled recreation of the Zodiac murders of San Francisco. Olmos' role starts out purposeful but ends up pathetic while Dzundza begins as weird and turns predatory. It was great to watch their characters change as they played off of one another. While it was interesting that the Scorekeeper's victims and M.O. clearly paralleled those of the Zodiac, I fear that this film would only be a 2 star affair (at best) for the non-Zodiac buff. You have been warned.

VHS : Two or Three Things I Know About Her
Godard's most intensive foray into the meaningless, blather of French philosophy in the 1960's. Throughout, you are treated (unfairly) to the director's whispering voice-over, which is unbearable, while the content of his narration is even worse. Even the child is a pretentious little wanker. Overall, an extremely indulgent film that does nothing, says nothing and above all means nothing. Godard is much more clever and effective when he uses techniques such as these in a more subtle, restrained fashion, such as in Pierrot Le Fou. More proof why Existenialism, Post-Modernism, and Structuralism should be laid to waste. I don't like Foucalt mixing with my Godard. Perhaps a treat for those who admire this particular school of thought, but I really cannot stomach it. Sorry.

VHS : All About the Benjamins
All About the Benjamins sets outs to be an action comdey and it succeeds on every level. Ice Cube in the lead role proves his action star status and his writing talent(he co-wrote the sciprt.) Mike Epps in the second lead continues to make a name for himself as a very funny comic and sidekick. The very lovely and sexy Eva Mendes is good in her role as Gina and Tommy Flannigan makes a good villain. Kevin Bray who has directed videos for N'Sync , 112 and Jagged Edge makes a good debut with this fun, upbeat action comedy.
