VHS : Very Brady Christmas
Our family likes to spend Christmas with the Brady family every holiday season. We bought the video years ago, and would now love to have the DVD. I already have all the seasons of Brady Bunch on DVD, and am not willing to buy the pkg. set for this holiday extra that is included.I thought for sure that it would be offered this Christmas Season, separately.
Bah Humbug to whoever makes these decisions!

VHS : Condorman
I remember watching an interview like this is your life years ago with Michael Crawford, and they went through his career of TV, movies and plays etc.. and I kept waiting for them to mention condorman and they never did, and they should, as it's a very underrated movie.

When I was a kid, this was one of my favorite movies. About Woody (Crawford) who is a comic book writer who's best friend Harry (Michael J Fox's father in Teen Wolf/Longest Yard (original) guy who dies) is a file clerk for a spy company, who when left in charge to send a civilian to Istanbul to deliver some spy papers, he bumbled his way into making a top KGB agent (Natalia) believe he is a top agent and later wishes to have him help her defect to America.

Woody takes on the challenge and finds himself being chased ... Read More

VHS : Pray for the Wildcats
For anyone who remembers classic ABC TV Movies Of The Week, "Pray For The Wildcats" will always be THE classic one (along with another Andy Griffith masterpiece, "Savages"). It is my great hope that one day soon, "Pray For The Wildcats" will see a proper DVD release, and I'm sure it would sell thousands of copies. As for the movie itself; If you're reading this review, you already know that this film is genius, because you have seen it. So, please add your own review of "Pray For The Wildcats", and help join the call for a DVD release. And remember: "He just bought himself a long walk home"!........

VHS : Dr Strangelove
A very intelligent yet hilarious look at the insanity of war and those responsible for waging it in the nuclear age. Full of 4 Star performances by Peter Sellers (in multiple roles), Sterling Hayden, George C. Scott and Slim Pickens, the epitome of the commie-fighting cowboy

The behind-the-scenes companion DVD is just as much of a treat as the film itself: the set designers made educated guesses as to the interior of a B-52 bomber, and turned out to be so accurate that the Air Force got concerned and Stanley Kubrick was worried that the FBI would come after him; Peter Sellers was originally set to play the Slim Pickens role in addition to the President, Group Captain Mandrake, and Dr. Strangelove -- but a dispute with Kubrick, Sellers own near-exhaustion from playing 3 other roles, plus an "accident" all conspired ... i give this fine mini-series 4 stars because this one was used to set up the rest of the series but for reasons unknown they stoped after this one.
philip kent is now an old man(and now played by martin millner)and his son's are now the focus of the series. randolph mantooth is quite good as the oldest son who must do things for himself.his trek west with wife and new child is the focus of the first part and we get to see how hard the way really was and leaves us with very powerful images of the life and death daily life of our andercesters. the second part follows kent's two grandchildren as they fight for their part of the american dream. very well done, and i hope to see the other books turned into mini-series someday.

VHS : The Brady Bunch - Getting Davy Jones / The Subject Was Noses
and this video is worth the money just to hear the black girl in the Davy Jones episode ask Marcia (referring to Davy) -- all excited and bubbly -- "is he as neat as he looks?" Yeah, right. I like the end of the episode when Marcia and Davy stand side by side, and you can get an idea of just how short Davy is - he is shorter than Maureen McCormick. The "oh my nose" episode is pure fantasy -- and as for Marcia episode it's right up there with the Romeo and Juliet and braces episode --the family that paints together? Marcia's swollen nose disappears overnight? The Big Man on Campus asks Marcia out? She ultimately chooses Charlie the awkward delivery boy? And in the former episode, Marcia enters Davy's recording studio -- while he's recording no less -- without any problems? If you ask these questions then you definitely won't ... Read More
