Well, it must be a good movie, since I never forgot what I have seen when I was 11. This movie was one of the first we got to watch in Bavaria, after the war. I am a little older now, but would like to see it again, mayby in the original, why not? Johannes.

This is an action-filled movie that gains momentum when the three brothers leave their family and join the French Foreign Legion together in a wave of disgust over their father's weaknesses. The brotherly affection and loyalty is the main theme of the story, and it is touching and heartrending without being overly sentimental. Cooper, Milland, Hayward and Donleavy are brilliant. It was, is, and always will be a great film about true nobility of the heart as opposed to nobility of the blood.

I love the movie Auntie Mame. Rosland Russel does a great job of capturing the crazy aunt caracter. I also love love love Lucile Ball. She is a wonder actress and fantastic comedian. BUT this screen play should have never been made into a musical. No matter how cool musicals were at the time. Please don't waste your money on this one and just get the earlier rendition. It will capture your heart and you will fall in love with Aunti Mame.

I bought this a couple of years ago but never had the chance to watch it. I am glad I did. I believe the characters, I believe the story. Then again, when it is two superb craftsmen as Mary Tyler Moore and Robert Preston, it is quite easy. Incredible nuance in both of their performances, never a false note. And Sam Waterston is a hoot!!! My wife and I are Law & Order addicts and to see him in this role was hysterical.

I saw this mini series years and years ago and it has always had a special place in my heart. Based on the amazing writings of Owen Johnson, this film is entertaining, funny, witty and loads of fun! I recommend it for the entire family!

Sure, it has yet to be 24 hours but honestly, it is the ONLY thing that I have thought of since the credits began to roll. As a whole the film is adorable, but its strongest part is none other than Julie Andrews. This musical "The Music Man" Starring Robert Preston, Shirley Jones, Ron Howard & others has always been one of my all time favorite musical's. I have this VHS film of this movie, which i have had for a long time. It's a Great Musical, but do yourself a favor & buy it now on DVD & make sure you get the one on Widescreen. In my opinion, it makes all the difference in the world as far as Quality goes to be able to have it on Widescreen period. This is definitely true for the Classic Epic Film's.
