I love this movie. I haven't seen it in years and I am dismayed to learn that it isn't available on DVD yet. This is one of the best teen movies I have ever seen. It's sweet, honest, funny and kind.

Please release Angus on DVD soon powers that be. Thanks!

I've watched this movie SO many times back when it aired on Disney, and I've watched its predecessor and successor as well. It's obviously a Disney movie, made for the 8-to-15 age range, but for someone like me who's into space exploration and future technologies, the movie surpasses the age barrier. It obviously has some pitfalls for older viewers, particularly the that's-too-easy plot line and some of the more embarrassing catch-phrases that the writers created for use as "space slang," but there are also some fantastic space elements in the movie. The costumes used are AWESOME -- I wish that stuff were in fashion, because I'd be wearing it everywhere. The space station sets are futuristic in a realistic sort of way that makes you think, "If I had to imagine what a space station would look ... Read More

VHS : Christmas Box
This wonderful family values oriented film really isn't a Christmas story (but yes, inbedded in the plotline is, of course, the "Christmas Box"). Without once again retelling the story (other reviewers have done that nicely), I'll just add my take . . .

This is a story about loneliness, workaholism, generosity, grief, love and family (both by birth and by association). A made for TV film, but is very, very well produced and executed. Rich sets and scripting. Great photography. Great direction.

The casting is right on. In my opinion, Richard Thomas can only play one character -- but that works in this film where he is the sensitive but ambitious and busy Richard Evans (Husband & Dad). Annette O'Toole (Evans' kinder and gentler side)and Kelsy Mulrooney function as Mom ... Read More

If you loved "A Fish Called Wanda" you will love this movie. So incredibly funny I laugh so hard even though I've seen it over a dozen times. All the characters mesh so well and the story line is beyond hilarious. It's on my "must have" list.

The remake of Michael Mann's "Manhunter" and the second adaptation of Thomas Harris' novel of the same name is no dissapointment. THe film boasts more than exceptional acting, highly inquisitive writing and solid directing throughout. Let's break this down so you can truly see what I mean.

The Acting: Edward Norton (Fight Club, American History X) stars as F.B.I. Special Agent Will Graham, and plays him perfectly. You would'nt want anyone else in the role as Norton fills it respectably as usual. The great Anthony Hopkins (Bram Stoker's Dracula) returns for the third time to the role which won him the Academy Award for Best Actor back in 1991 for Jonathan Demme's The Silence of the Lambs. He's perfect, as expected. The highlight of the show, however, is British actor Ralph Fiennes (Schindler's ... Read More

Lovely group of actors who could be in many a circle of modern day friendships that have lasted years. Different characters each with an interesting past and present and like all to many people, not always as honest with oneself as one should be, preferring instead to put fears, disappointments, in the back of ones mind. Then they come back to the front in the most interesting of ways.

Like the young husband whose in laws think he's a loser who as never done much in his life, yet is loved deeply by his wife who knows there is something profoundly special about him. Which comes to the surface while on the rafting trip. He risked his life to save a green horn years earlier. Yet never spoke of it. A family member along for this rafting trip is exposed to this truth and it changes how he thinks of ... Read More

I am lucky enough to have this movie on VHS. Before Robert Downey Jr. just completely fell into a world of somewhere that seems to be the land of no return he was quick witted, funny, sexy and charismatic and his hosting the camera's adventure during the politcal conventions of '92 was actually brilliant! Everyone should see this movie. It rules!
