I bought this DVD and was SO disappointed when the Love is Gone song was missing! Why oh why? With the song missing from the middle, the significance of the singing of it at the end is lost. I hope there is another release of this with the song included. I really get tired of these dvd companies doing this. If I am purchasing a dvd, I should get the extras or even all of the original...case in point, Carrey's How the Grinch Stole Christmas....where is NOG, NOG, NOG?
Whatever.

I have all of Barbra Streisand movies on Dvd except for this one. This is one of the biggest mysteries. It probably is Barbra's best film ever and it is still not out on Dvd. What are they waiting for? I wish someone knew the answer to this question.

VHS : The Dark Crystal
AWESOME collector for the generation who grew up with the Muppets, no doubt.... However, this movie may need to be carefully reviewed by parents before young children watch it.
I was born in 1979, very young when The Dark Crystal was big. My mother watched EVERYTHING before she let me view any movie or TV show to understand the point that was trying to be made and whether she felt the subject matter was appropriate for me. (This is what parents SHOULD do). Instead of just thinking, 'Oh, Muppets... Jim Henson... Must be OK for her to watch,' she previewed it and was surprised by the angle of the film. Well, the angle of the Skeksis (sp.) anyway.
The idea of sucking out 'The Essence' of small, inferior creatures to maintain life and youth was a message my mother didn't want me to be exposed ... Read More

If the Muppet Movie receives five stars, there is no way The Great Muppet Caper deserves more then three. It's still worth watching, but can't hold a candle to the Muppet Movie

VHS : The Dark Crystal/Labyrinth Two-Pack
Of course, we all remember Jim Henson for bringing us those fuzzy, adorable animal puppets and their kooky variety show.

But Henson also produced some very memorable, intriguing fantasy films, full of otherworldly beauty, humor and a distinctly horrific note at times. This two-pack brings together the quirky, dreamlike coming-of-age tale "Labyrinth" and the exquisite, otherworldly, horrific "Dark Crystal," both of which were swimming with very unique Henson creations.

"Labyrinth" becomes a problem for teenage Sarah, who is stuck babysitting her crying baby stepbrother, but would prefer to stay in her romantic, fantastical daydreams instead. When she idly wished that the goblins would steal him, she never expected goblins to appear and snatch him away -- or that the Goblin King ... Read More
