This will be a Christmas gift so I haven't actually watched it yet. However, I am pleased with the timeliness of the shipping. The dvd looks to be in great shape. The price was about what I expected. Overall, all has been great. I just couldn't give the 5 stars yet because I haven't actually watched it.

I enjoyed the story and loved how a person can choose to change his life for the better. However, for Dr. Merrick to suddenly appear at a sanitarium in New Mexico, and then have a very nice operating room complete with viewing window that you might imagine finding in a large well equiped hospital was a little difficult to swallow. The nurse and companion, Nancy, suddenly became a scrub nurse and miraculously knew every instrument!! And then, to top it off, after a very long and difficult surgery, the patient was placed in a bed in a hotel-style room containing a huge curtained window with fresh air wafting through. There was no IV, no moniters, etc. etc. After such a surgery, the patient would be placed in a post op--critical care environment. I felt the script should have been tweaked ... Read More

One of the best fun movies of the 80's. I had the honor of driving Mr. Brest, the director, on this film. He also gave me a small part. I am the Amarillo Policeman that releases John Ashton's character. I send him on to Flagstaff. This is one you can watch over and over. We shot all over the country. New York, Chicago (train), in Arizona (Globe, Flagstaff, Clarkdale, etc), LA and Vegas. I had a great time helping make this film and you will have a great time watching it many, many times.

VHS : Pretty Woman
One of those movies you watch every time it comes on television because it's so cute, yet one of those movies you're almost ashamed to adore because it has almost no redemptive features; `Pretty Woman' has become an instant classic for almost no reasons at all. Sure, it's cute, but so aren't a lot more respectable films.

Oh yeah, I forgot; Julia Roberts is amazing here.

So, that answers all questions doesn't it? Why do we love this movie? We love it because it gave us Julia, our beloved Julia. She is charming and warm and heartbreaking and moving and memorable and sincere and we just want to eat her up in every scene. The problem with `Pretty Woman' is that when you take Roberts' magnetism out of the equation you have a rather empty film that relies on clichés to carry it ... Read More

VHS : Magic Christian
The Magic Christian is an inspired, wacky sixties film, based on the brilliant novel by Terry Southern. Appearing with Peter Sellers and Ringo Starr in the film are Pythons John Cleese and Graham Chapman, Goon Show alumnus Spike Milligan, Christopher Lee, Racquel Welch, Roman Polanski, and Yul Brenner as a lounge-singing transvestite. Paul McCartney wrote the film's theme song 'Come And Get It' performed by Badfinger. I have to admit, this movie makes me laugh. It's a great vehicle for Peter Sellers as the not-so-business-like Guy Grande, and Ringo as his newly adopted adult son. In the story, multi-millionaire Grande has determined that one can use money to teach lessons about the ugliness of greed, elitism, snobbiness, and authority. It is typical of british comedies of the late sixties inasmuch as it climaxes ... Read More

This has got to be one of the dumbest, most deliriously boring flicks ever made. Heck, watching it gave me a massive headache. I'm known for liking really cheesy movies, but this one is just plain stinky.
