This is one of my favorite films of all time. WHy? Because I first saw it when I was 13 and I totally related to it. I don't mean the destruction at the end of the film, but at least, the desire for destruction of my school, parent's friends' properties etc.. This film is honest and non-politically correct and explores the true and genuine feelings that emerge from a teen's mind. From the fixation with dating someone that seems out of reach, to doing mischief and just haging out. Music also plays a big part in a teen's life and the film's score is definitely genuine and reflective of the era. I was born and raised in South Carolina in 1953 but left when I was sixteen years old...so I thought it might be interesting to watch this movie. I was wrong. This movie is really not a pleasant movie to watch. But for the fact that it is supposed to be based on fact, I am not sure I would find watching it of any worthwhile value. It reminded me of the movie, Rosewood. Truth or not, I mean what's the point to making movies of this stuff.

This is my all time favorite Goldie movie and George Segal is charming too. But forget about them, the HORSE steals the show! This movie is a reason to laugh even if you haven't seen it in years. Doesn't any one remember that in the 70's all the heroes were drunken losers?
