If you like old movies, this is a good one. The story is not that great but the dancing & singing are very good. You realize what a good singer Howard Keel is & I didn't even know Jane Wyatt cold sing, and she is very good.

Great movie. Really brings to the forefront behind the scene politics. Gets one thinking about issues one would probably never think about. Moore really does a great job of making people aware. I've seen only two of his projects but have enjoyed both.

In a performance reminiscent of Peter Sellers in `Dr. Strangeglove,' Eddie Murphy turns in a tour de farce in `The Nutty Professor.' This was a film I had intended to see for a decade and I was certainly not disappointed when I finally rented it. Murphy provides a charming performance as shy, gentlemanly fat man, Prof. Sherman Klump. One cannot help rooting for the 400-pound professor to woo foxy grad student Carla Purty (Jada Pinkett Smith), rather than egomaniacal alter ego Buddy Love. Larry Miller is also fun as the smiling but malevolent Dean Richmond a type role he has played several times before. This was one of the most popular series on Masterpiece Theatre. Why Why is the studio not bringing this out on DVD. The videos are available, but are very expensive. The first Masterpiece series, The First Churchills is out on DVD I love that one, why not this one. Please everybody type in your information to Amazon to be contacted when the DVD's are out. Amazon states this is a vote for the product. We can let the studio know we Want ALL OF BOTH Poldark series out on DVD ASAP.

They did a great job with this movie, it's not easy moving a story from book to screen. David Soul did a wonderful acting job as Alex Wolff. His mix of bad guy and a romantic were very well done and realistic. Cliff Robertson was also great, as well as the locations for shooting. Some spy type movies tend to get boring for me, but the casting in this, as well as a great story made it anything but boring. It's a long film, 3 hours, but because the film is so good, time flies by very quickly. It's definetly a movie you will watch more than once. In fact, it's one of only a very few 3 hour films I watch repeatedly. In my opinion, David Soul was the movie's biggest asset.
