Leo McCarey's 1957 remake of his 1939 Love Affair stars Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr as two completely different people who end up falling in love on a transatlantic cruise. Nickie Ferrante (Grant) is a smooth-talking playboy who has a new girl every night, but his free reign as a bachelor is coming to an end as he's about to marry millionaire Lois Clark. Terry McKay is a nightclub singer in Boston and is in a long-term relationship. Nickie pursues Terry, who at first refuses, but the two fall deeply in love aboard the SS Constitution and try to hide their blossoming romance from curious onlookers and the ship's photographer. Nickie takes Terry to meet his octogenarian grandmother during a shore leave, and Terry is deeply attracted to the peaceful haven overlooking the Mediterranean.

VHS : Creature From the Black Lagoon
The Creature from the Black Lagoon is one of those classic 50s drive in horror flicks that abounded during that time. It is still fun and I enjoy it. The picture and the black and white is wonderful. I only wish they had included the 3-D version too. I saw that at the movie theatre about 3 years ago and that was fun!

VHS : Black Scorpion
Id call this an underrated movie. Im a little biased since I like monster movies. This really is very entertaining with large scorpions terrorizing the population. There are other creepy crawling monsters as well. The effects are by Willis O'Brien, and while not up to King Kong, this is still really good. They kept repeating a close up of the scorpion drooling which I didn't need. This is as good as Tarantula, not as good as Them and way better than the Monster from Green Hell. The DVD transfer from Warner is excellent too. If you like bug monsters, give this a shot..

VHS : Black Beauty (1946)
Out of all of the different versions of Black Beauty this is by far my favorite. It is my all time favorite movie. I watched it nearly everyday as a child; as a result my movie is quite worn. But anyways this movie is about a high-spirited young lady, Anne, who is given a foal, Black Beauty, by her father, Squire Wendon. Black Beauty becomes the center of Anne's attention. After a handsome visitor from America starts to win Anne's affection the squire realizes that Anne is growing up so he send her away to finishing school for a year. During Anne's absence Beauty becomes ill and the Squire orders the horse shot. The horse's caretaker doesn't have the heart to kill it so he send it off to live somewhere else until Anne returns. When Anne returns home and learns of her horses fate, the horse's caretaker and her go on a desperate search to find him. ... Read More
