I had to watch this movie in my Child Development & Psychology class. I must say, it gets to one's heart easily. I was one of the few that actually cried in class. The acting was rather decent; it was an enjoyable cast. Annie was so adorable! I really loved the interaction between everyone and Annie's biological mother... It was an interesting take on things. It was rather sugar-coated in that department, though. Nevertheless, it's a good movie to sit down and watch for a few good cries.

I FIRST SAW THIS MOVIE AS "THE HELEN MORGAN STORY". I WAS SO INPRESSED I MUST HAVE VIEWED IT 500 TIMES. THE CAST WAS WONDERFUL & THE MOVIE SHOULD HAVE BEEN REVIEWED MUCH BETTER THAT IT WAS. AFTER 50 YEARS IT STILL LIVES WITH THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE SEEN IT. THE BIG STAR OF THIS MOVIE IS THE WONDERFUL SOUNDTRACK FEATURING GOGI GRANT I ADORE HER AND ALL HER MUSIC AND WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO SEE HER IN CONCERT IN 2002. STILL BEAUTIFUL AND SINGING THOSE GREAT SONGS AT 78 IS A TRIBUTE TO THIS STAR. THIS MOVIE AND SOUNDTRACK HAVE ADDED MUCH JOY TO MY LIFE.

King Solomon's Mines is truly one the best movies about Africa. The scenery is spectacular. The story seemed to be a never-ending confrontation with wild animals however it was interesting to see the the variety. The native tribes were also interesting, especially the very tall Watusi and their dance. The actors portrayed believable roles and the movie deserved the two Oscars it received. I will watch it again and again.

I saw this move for the first time in 1980, my freshman year at high school. It was shown on a huge screen and it made a lasting impression on me. Has a great storyline, plot and the acting is grade A !

The Creature from the Black Lagoon is one of those classic 50s drive in horror flicks that abounded during that time. It is still fun and I enjoy it. The picture and the black and white is wonderful. I only wish they had included the 3-D version too. I saw that at the movie theatre about 3 years ago and that was fun!

Okay, so call me cheesy--but Bob Hope's gags STILL crack me up! This movie is just '40s perfect. All the actors are superb and this movie just makes me ache for the 40s when life seemed so simple ... and so SCARY!!!! The haunted castle on a haunted aisle ... way good fun! Although the "zombie" guy was never really "explained" but who cares. This movie has laughs, scares, a charming main character and a gorgeous damsel in distress! How can you give it less than 5 stars???
