he only thing that I don't like about these Disney DVDs is that they're all SO expensive!!! Some new DVDs are 15 bucks, but the Disney ones are always 19 bucks +. I don't understand it. Can't a kid buy a Disney DVD for 15 or so bucks anymore? Guess that answer is NO. Disney's "The Little Mermaid" mostly takes place in the sea. Ariel, who is 16, is very stubborn and headstrong, and disobeys her Father, King Triton at every opportunity. Don't take this movie too seriously and you'll just love it. I've watched it every year for years. I agree that it should be released on DVD; the prices for VHS are too high for a medium that tears up easily. The storyline, about a singing star who escapes back to the area she came from to get away from showbiz, is cute but it's Dolly who makes the part. The kids are adorable and I personally think that John Ritter has the best small part he ever played. He just shines (and amuses you) as a judge. I'd watch the show for that alone. The witch is good, too, in a corny sort of way. When she eats the pie and Dolly says, "Goodnight, Irene" I always laugh. The songs are pretty good, too. Give it a try!

Monster Squad and other comical, horror films are out on DVD. It took 20 years for Monster Squad. How about digitally remaster in DVD for this little Gem. Almost slapstick comedy, but so much fun to watch, but not on schratchy VHS. Please bring this one out of the vaults.

This is by far the best WWI documentary. I have seen a bunch of others, but this one adds the intangibles that the others don't: perspectives, art, depression, grappling with issues and the war itself. Also, PBS offers an incredible website that goes along with the documentaries. They need to come out with a DVD series of this ASAP.
