VHS : Goodfellas
The transfer of this film appears to be the same MPEG transfer as the one used for the DVD version. It DOES NOT appear to be a new 1080p 4k re-mastering of the film. This is not to say that it doesn't look much better in Blu-Ray than it does on DVD. But it is not, evidently, a brand new 1080p 4k transfer made expressly for Blu-Ray release. This can cause some problems, depending on your display system and settings. You may have to select a different input palette or profile on your display, or adjust your settings.

If your system is setup to show Blu-Ray films using the "Cinema" and "Movie" profile of your display, which assumes a low contrast, subdued display of a wide range source that takes full advantage of the display's capabilities, then this film may look washed out, have ... Read More

VHS : The Lonely Lady
Let no one say that this Harold Robbins show biz potboiler doesn't begin with a bang: On the very day that Valley High student Pia Zadora wins an award as "most promising English major," she parties with fast Beverly Hills High students, one of whom --- weed-smoking Ray Liotta --- fondles her award and proclains its resemblance to a member of the male anatomy, fondles her breast ("Valley girls are anxious to please!"), throws her onto the lawn ("I'm gonna give you something special!"), and rapes her with the nearby garden hose. All this in the film's first fifteen minutes! (You may think it can't possibly continue at this crazed, trashy pace --- but you are wrong: In the seventy-six minutes left, there are eight nude love scenes, two lesbian encounters, two showers, one hot tub, one Jacuzzi, and ... VHS : Field of Dreams
Field of Dreams starring Kevin Costner always felt like a fable to me. This baseball film is very good and insighful but my parents watched it so many times when I was a little kid that I kinda got sick of it. Now that I am adult, I appreciate this monster hit for its simple storytelling, some parts are a bit draggish but Field of Dreams is a sweet experience, give it a viewing!

4.Unlawful Entry starring: Kurt Russell, Ray Liotta, Madeleine Stowe, Roger E. Mosley, Ken Lerner
directed by: Jonathan Kaplan

VHS : Unlawful Entry
Unlawful Entry is an awesome flick about a psycho cop who turns things upside down for an honest, innocent hardworking couple in L.A. after one innocent telephone call to the police after being burglarized by a sadistic crack-head.

This was probably a movie showing Ray Liotta at his best acting ability, since Ray Liotta plays Los Angeles police Officer Pete Davis who starts out righteous, loyal, and professional like any other typical police officer until Kurt Russell(Michael Carr) decides to disown Pete(Ray Liotta) after seeing Pete's true colors after Michael goes on a ride-along with Pete Davis and his partner Los Angeles police Officer Roy Cole(Roger E. Mosley) discovering what a dangerous psychopath Pete really is.

From there on, it becomes quite obvious that Pete is a psycho ... Read More

6.Blow starring: Tony Amendola, Penélope Cruz, Cliff Curtis, Johnny Depp, Dan Ferro

VHS : Blow
The story is interesting and engaging from the beginning till the end.
It's a very good life lesson based on a true story. It showed a "big" drug dealer can make tons of money. However it also shows crime does not pay and there is no honor among thieves. They set up each other. They stole from each other, etc.

It's absolutely worth viewing.

7.Corina Corina starring: Ray Liotta, Whoopi Goldberg, Tina Majorino, Noreen Hennessey, Lucy Webb

VHS : Corina Corina
Corrina, Corrina is a brave movie, exploring a topic that few dare to touch. It would be all too easy for Corrina to be the comedian who makes everyone cheer up just to disappear into the background, as many African-American "maid" characters end up doing. Instead, she becomes the love interest, the ultimate female character, who has her own dreams, problems, complexities, and validity. I have loved this movie since I was a child, and recently watched it again to find that I still love it. It is extremely well-written, clever, and sad--yet hysterical, and it challenges all stereotypes, racial, temporal, and sexual, in a way that is extremely rare. Everyone should see it.

This is a great movie that shows the state of government red tape in the care of those who defended our freedom. It does tend to overplay the actions of the doctors a bit, but overall it is a good movie. It reminds of M*A*S*H a great deal. Ray Liotas character is Hawkeye, Sutherlands character is BJ and several other chracters are definetly M*A*S*H rewrites.

VHS : Hannibal
Hannibal starring Anthony Hopkins and Julianne Moore is a disgusting sequel to The Silence of the Lambs. Jodie Foster refused to reprise her role as Clarice Starling, she sure made the right decision! Moore is awkward as Starling, she has a hard time tackling the accent. Hopkins is still creepy but that scene with the pigs is so vile, I covered my eyes, ugh! Horrible movie, Red Dragon is better than this.
