In Nancy Drew's Love Match, Nancy Drew and George Fayne catch a famous tennis star (The Brady Bunch's Maureen McCormic) stealing jewelry! Asked by the star's father to go undercover and keep his daughted out of trouble, Nancy and George set out for Las Vegas to catch a cat burlgar and prove the star wrong. I enjoyed watching the movie. It wasn't the most action packed, but it was good. I liked Roxann Dawson's acting it! That is why I got it. She doesn't show up too much, but when she does, she's great!

VHS : Rumor of War
This is a pretty good movie. I remember catching it on TBS one day while staying home sick from school. I was still sick the next day, so I got to catch the second part of it. It was a movie that stuck out in my mind for its portrayal of the war.

A few years later, I remember seeing the book and reading it. The book was much better because it went into the mindset of the character and why he joined the Marines. The movie does a decent job of portraying that, but not quite.

Another movie that needs to find its way to DVD.

He is absolutely right- this should have been the "uncensored" version which was indeed available previously on 2-part VHS tape. I don't know the story behind the more adult version, as I believe the version originally aired back in the 70's was without the f-word and other stuff. Perhaps another version was created for possible theatrical release either in the US or abroad.

Still, the movie is great and the performances are top notch, I believe still better than the 2004 remake. Enough kudos isn't given to the girls, particularly Nancy Wolfe and Cathey Paine who manage to capture that free-spirited hippy dippiness and completely insane annoyingness at the same time. And, of course, Steve Railsback is really quite brilliant as Charlie. A powerful, scary, intense, but just shy ... Read More

I have 4 Nancy Drew movies. I think this was like 3rd or 4th one I watched and It's one of my favs. It has a great plot. You'd never guess who the culprit was. I thought it was someone else. I was wrong. Great twist at the end!

I must say, I don't think I've ever been so dissapointed by a movie before. I wanted to get this so much simply because I loved the first. The plot, is a basic clone of the first but with two creatures in it. That's not what is so sad about this, but that everything good in the first has been traded for crap.

The acting, is horrid. I've seen better dialogue in 1970s low-budget monster movies like "MONSTER". What really makes this a pitty is the creatures. Yea, the one may have regenerated from a finger, but aside from that, the regeneration is gone. The creature's designs are so badly changed that they seem more like zombies, at least in the original, it actually LOOKED like a monster.

The characters, who really cares about them? They had NO back story except for the main returning ... Read More

I didn't like it at all! I hated the ending. I thought it could be so much better. It is so bad compared to all the other ones in the series.
