VHS : Normal Life
this movie was the most touching and brilliant portrayal of a thick moustache that i have ever seen. It really touched me on a very deep and emotional level. i cant get the vision of luke perry's moustache out of my head and its something i never want to forget about. That moustache is this sexiest thing i have ever seen and the biggest turn on. Throughout the movie you grow more and more fond of how beautiful that hairy thing above his lip truly is. The moustache takes on a life of its own and really the director could have written a whole movie all about the moustache and nothing more...im really looking foraward to seeing if there will be a sequal focused only on the life of luke perry's brilliant moustache.

VHS : Valentino (1977)
it may be a 5 or just a 1.... it all depends on your taste, humour and love of movie nostalgia....

They(the cast) all give camp performances, but the "storyboard" sitting between Leslie, Michelle og Rudolf and "the wedding" of Leslie and Michelle at his funeral are definate highlights....

The dance bewteen Valentino and Nijinski is never to be forgotten... But....

Nereyevs diction leaves something to be desired... True, he may be the only 1 i the era who could play Valentino(today - Johnny Depp) - but is is of another tradition... Still - I have to admit he fills Rudy`s shoes well.

Leslie Caron is a great Nazimova... The set designs and costumes are all well made in 20s style...

It is a cross between good drama and good camp:-)))

VHS : Nightman, The
The usually June Cleaveresque Joanna Kerns takes a turn at steamy soft erotic drama in THE NIGHTMAN, directed by Charles Haid ("Renko" of "Hill Street Blues" fame).

The story concerns the sexual competitiveness of Kerns, as the mother/older woman proprietress of a run-down lakeside summer hotel, and Jenny Robertson as her daughter/Lolita. Both women vy for the attention of Ted Marcoux, who plays the young, irresistibly virile handyman/night manager of the hotel.

Kerns is unbelievably sensual and indubitably bitchy in her role, while the gamine Robertson fairly oozes hormones. Marcoux, as the Nightman of the title, is trapped between them, and is forced to make a choice. It is a decision which comes back to haunt him eighteen years later, when Robertson, now a psychologist, confronts him about occurrences ... Read More

VHS : Coming Home
Coming Home is a sensitive portrayal of three people and how their lives were changed by the war in Vietnam. Look for wonderful acting by Jane Fonda who had to contend with a script that was not exactly the best I've ever seen; and Jon Voight does an excellent job playing the role of Luke Martin, a Vietnam vet who was badly wounded in combat. Bruce Dern plays Capt. Bob Hyde with a lot of style; all the actors do their best in this film. The script fails to flesh out the depth of the characters and the movie held my attention although there were some slow moments along the way.

When the action begins, we meet Sally Hyde (Jane Fonda) and her soon to go to war Marine husband Bob Hyde (Bruce Dern). We also soon meet Sally's friend Vi Munson who is ably portrayed by Penelope Milford. Bob is eager to go to war and fight ... Read More
