As always we received the DVD's in record time from USA. Both DVD's were excellent and as they were from Louis L'Amour's books which my husband has all of his books, we did enjoy the films.

We like buying off Amazon as we know we will get a good product.

Thank You

I've been looking for this on DVD but i guess it's not politically correct, if you've seen it you know what i mean. Still a great movie, the strongest part of which is the superb acting by Glenn Ford and especially Ernest Borgnine. The dialogue is good but the chemistry is even better. Ford's terse command voice during sub operations is also excellent, i can't think of a better sub capt performance beside it except Das Boot.

Three years after he successfully thwarted the Nazis attempt to harness the power of the Ark of the Covenant; Indiana Jones is back for even more adventure with "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom". Joining star Harrison Ford and director Steven Spielberg we have a new lead actress, as Kate Capshaw ("Black Rain") becomes the newest Indy girl, and young actor Jonathan Ke Quan as Indy's latest associate, the pint-sized Short Round; along with two new writers, Willard Huyck and Gloria Katz, that had previously worked with producer and co-creator George Lucas on his teen classic "American Graffiti". With all of the pieces in place, it was time for the adventure to continue, as "The Man in the Hat" was back once more on the silver screen.

"Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" finds our hero (Harrison ... Read More

I've read a couple of reviews that downgraded this film as being unrealistic. Of, course only the most sensational aspects of the war are portrayed. Duh, it's a movie. I wasn't over there. The war mercifully ended weeks before I would have been. I do have numerous friends who were. Many will not really talk about it (just like my dad who served 4 years in WWII and saw heavy action. Only after his death have I realized how scarred he was by that experience). I know a guy who used to tell me horror stories similar to those portrayed in this movie. 10 years ago he would tell these stories like jokes and laugh like crazy. I would think "That is one hardcore SOB!" Nowadays he can't talk about Vietnam without breaking down and sobbing and crying. I can see now that he has been living in hell for 30+ years. Maybe this film ... Read More

when i saw this movie i said to myself this was as real of a story about a middle class family who got into the drug biz, live the life with money power and respect and then drug addiction caught up with them and show the vicious cycle of drugs in all level. why is this movie so good its because the realism of drugs and family struggle is all here as well as the acting performances are perfection especially from mira sorvino and the great michael imperioli. mike performance as angel is so good that its disappointing that he didnt get a oscar nomination for his brilliant performance as a realistic crack addicted. i do agree that this film should be shown to every high school health class and even in colleges, med school, police etc. this movies is up there as the best anti drug film ever thanks to incredible story and michael ... Steven Spielberg at HIS BEST. Another movie from my Dad's Collection. The action never stops and there's a carefully calculated high-point every 15 minutes at least. The effects are well co-ordinated, and the film is easily Spielberg's most genuinely riveting. The film is produced by George Lucas. Harrison Ford, discovered by Lucas, for STAR WARS, plays the title character, who is BOGART, FLASH GORDON and HAN SOLO rolled into one.

This musical "The Music Man" Starring Robert Preston, Shirley Jones, Ron Howard & others has always been one of my all time favorite musical's. I have this VHS film of this movie, which i have had for a long time. It's a Great Musical, but do yourself a favor & buy it now on DVD & make sure you get the one on Widescreen. In my opinion, it makes all the difference in the world as far as Quality goes to be able to have it on Widescreen period. This is definitely true for the Classic Epic Film's.
