Action movies are only as good as their villains. Heroics require really nasty bad guys.

Gene Hackman skillfully portrays an antagonist so mean you know he'd kill his own son. Sharon Stone, for the most part, credibly plays the protagonist, but her motivation for revenge seems filched from Harmonica in Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West.

The remaining cast of bad guys are cartoonish and the plot stretches credulity beyond the limits, but fine acting and a unique premise work to make this an engaging film.

It also fun to watch Leonardo Di Caprio and Russell Crowe in secondary roles before they could demand eight figure salaries per movie.

though the story is from the late 50's, still a wonderful evident of God's miracolous power to forgive and transform lives that could have ended at young age. Except a few sound mishops at end, the used movie I bought has good quality. Strongly recommended movie both for young and older.

VHS : The Greatest Story Ever Told
This movie more than any other has always brought tears to my eyes. It is so close to the real Jesus and gives a better idea of the Man that He was in life on earth. His goodness, His kindness, and His holyness is of a Person we can and should try to follow. If we did this, the world would be a much better place today. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would like to see Him taken out of schools or His Ten Commandments tossed, for they are not that hard to follow, and they keep us "civilized" and better able to get along with one another.

A pretty good version of a rather stodgey old musical. There's no way it can seem fresh, but as a museum piece this version isn't bad thanks to Ann Margaret and Bobby Darin. This was an ideal role for Darin - who likely would have done some broadway musicals thanks to his talents as a singer, dancer, and actor (a classic triple threat) - if his damaged heart hadn't precluded such strenuous roles.

He's at his punky best as the ambitious guy on the make, and delivers the best number of the movie in This Isn't Heaven, a song written especially for the movie. I wish he'd been cast in more musicals to utilize his wide range of talents, but it's great to see him here. Esp in the same movie with Ann Margaret, another triple threat.

VHS : How to Receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Share it with Others
I purchased this video already being a born again Christian and baptized in the Holy Spirit. I knew something very good and different existed in my life after I recieved the baptism. But I want scripture for as much as possible for anything in my life. This video was recommended to me and I can appreciate as to why. I passed it around to some non-charasmatic, baptist church members and some of them recieved as well. The ones that did not accept were not against the content, but left very interested and curious. It is a well put together, scripture-based presentation on the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
