VHS : The Devil's Playground
THE DEVIL'S PLAYGROUND IS A MOVIE LIKE NONE OTHER.

IT TELLS ABOUT THE TABOOS IN THIS WORLD THAT NO ONE SEEMS TO WANT TO TALK ABOUT. WHETHER IT BE IN A CATHOLIC SCHOOL FOR BOYS, A CATHOLIC SCHOOL FOR GIRLS OR JUST IN THE TYPICAL EVERYDAY HOME. EXCEPT THIS STORY WAS IN A CATHOLIC SCHOOL FOR BOYS.

JUST WISH THEY WOULD COME OUT WITH A MOVIE, AN ENHANCED VERSION OF THE VERY SAME BOYS, WHERE MORE IS TOLD ABOUT THE BOYS, THAN WITH THE PRIESTS.

VHS : The Gold and the Glory
This is a great inspirational Australian film that's unfortunately underrated in the US about a young man competing in a difficult triathalon in order to show up his father along with a great dancing scene. It's highly recommended!!

VHS : The Strange Case of the End of Civilization as We Know It
This film short is so far below the quality of Monty Python and Fawlty Towers that I would expect John Cleese to buying every copy to remove all traces of the evidence. Some silliness but almost never clever, it's hard to imagine anyone liking this film short. I am writing this review for one reason only, lower your expectactions as much as you possibly can and then divide it in half. This is how far this falls below any of the Monty Python work. If you want some good post-Python work, go for Ripping Yarns with Michael Palin, it's clever and funny and even the cheap gags fit into a much level of sophistication.

VHS : Empty Beach
Bryan Brown is a Private Investigator hired by a woman to investigate her husband's disappearance. This is not the usual PI story. It has some suprising turns and an unusual ending. A lot of action.

As usual, Bryan Brown is very good. Wish I could see some more of his stuff.

6.Journey Through the Black Sun starring: Martin Landau, Barbara Bain, Barry Morse, Clifton Jones, Zienia Merton

I was watching the Space 1999 Tv series in late 70's as my absolute favourite movie. It took 10 years for the filmmakers to make The Alien that finally beaten Space 1999, in my opinion anyway. I would love to have it in my video collection.

7.Clean and Sober starring: Michael Keaton, Kathy Baker, Morgan Freeman, Tate Donovan, Henry Judd Baker

VHS : Clean and Sober
CLEAN AND SOBER, starring MICHAEL KEATON (MK), MORGAN FREEMAN, KATHY BAKER, is a movie that will potentially raise as many questions as the answers that is gives out, considering that it touches upon the subjects of narcotics addiction, alcoholism, and the disorder and chaos that is felt in many people's personal lives.

Not knowing MK personally, the work suggests an almost invisible line between the character that is played by MK in the film, and MK himself, as an actor, such is the realistic feel of the flow of events.

The story starts out with MK snorting cocaine with the daughter of a client, from whom he
embezzles $92,000 to speculate on the stock market with high risk derivatives and options, albeit only being a realtor or real estate agent. This puts his job in jeopardy ... Read More

8.Return from the River Kwai starring: Nick Tate, Timothy Bottoms, George Takei, Edward Fox, Lolita Mirpuri
directed by: Andrew V. McLaglen

VHS : Return from the River Kwai
When it played originally in the UK, Return From the River Kwai carried a legal disclaimer that the film was in no way related to or a sequel to The Bridge On the River Kwai, to which the only response is "No s***, Sherlock." Where Lean had Alec Guinness, William Holden, Jack Hawkins and Sessue Hayakawa, Andrew V. McLaglen has to make do with Edward Fox, Christopher Penn, Denholm Elliott and George Takei, which should tip you off what to expect. It has a good enough true story to tell - no bridge building this time, but the eventful journey of Allied P.O.W.s being sent to Japan as forced labor as the war neared its end - but while bridges and ships are blown up, planes crash and there are hundreds of extras, it all has a perfunctory feel to it and a lack of vision. Sargon Tamimi and Paul Mayersberg's script tends ... Read More
