VHS : Yours Mine & Ours
This is the original Yours, Mine & Ours with Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda. Very enjoyable and wella cted. A Navy widow with 8 kids marries a Navy man with 10 kids. it is odd to see their groceries only add up to like 120 dollars. But i thought by that time she should know about birth control.

VHS : Search for Bridey Murphy
Teresa Wright plays a housewife who is hypnotized by a neigbor. He doesn't bother with the woman she is but the past life in her, Bridey Murphy who lived in 1800's Ireland. The beautiful Nancy Gates plays his wife who at times believes his interest in Bridey Murphy is more than a medical interest. The movie goes through the complete life of Bridey Murphy including how she reincarnates herself into the woman at the present day.
The movie in the beginning tells us that the past lives you've had effect what will happen in your next ones, in other words karma. I kept waiting for the movie to show us this. Though there's a good ending I was disappointed with the movie's promise.

Students graduate from the Dugan Detective School, among them Bud and Lou. They begin working the night shift and get their first client, who takes them to a house. Tommy Nelson wants the serum to make himself invisible! It's the only way he can escape the police. They don't believe Lou, and have him examined. There is a skit over passing the bucks. The special effects are good. Lou demonstrates his boxing skills at the gym. "Louie the Looper" will get a match with Rocky Hanlon. There is a plan to catch those responsible for killing O'Hara, the manager of Tommy Nelson. The skits are funny, but you can see the boys are older and less active.

The story continues with drama and comedy. Invisible Tommy will punch Rocky in the ring. But Tommy leaves the ring to listen to Morgan. He returns ... Read More

VHS : Edge of Darkness
1943's "Edge of Darkness" portrays the acute plight of a small Norwegian village trapped under the thumb of brutal Nazi occupation during the Second World War. The presentation by veteran director Lewis Milestone is especially poignant; modern viewers must remember that the liberation of Norway was still an uncertain two years off when the movie was released.

Errol Flynn leads in an understated but solid performance as an ordinary and underachieving fisherman who is forced by circumstances to mature and become the leader of the local resistance. Walter Huston and Ruth Gordon turn in strong supporting roles as the brave town doctor and his wife. Ann Sheridan plays Flynn's love-interest, who runs afoul of the occupying troops and exacts a terrible revenge.

This movie is noteworthy ... Read More

VHS : The Firm - Firm Basics: Sculpting With Weights
Tracie Long is a great instructor, always demonstrating proper form, and is easy to follow. I use the "Firm Basics" series along with Leslie Sansone to get started exercising again after being inactive for a while. This tape is for beginners, and those who find the new "Firm" workouts beyond their capabilties. A great start to better fitnes.
This series is not produced on DVD. It would be great if it was.

VHS : Stanley & Livingstone
Lost in the flood of great films in Hollywood's greatest year (1939), Stanley and Livingstone pays more attention to historical fact than most so-called history films of that era.

Of especial interest is the footage shot in Kenya by among others, the famous Osa Johnson. The African landscape and peoples shot by this second unit crew raise S&L far above the usual Tarzanesque studio back lot scenes that supposedly depict Africa (always jungle in those days, never veldt or mountains). Supervised by one Captain A. J. Klein, the actions shots involving actual Kenyans easily surpasses the competent and workmanlike Hollywood work of director Henry King.

The attack by outraged locals (lots of Samburu and Maasai hired for the occasion, I would guess) on Stanley's expedition, who believe ... Read More

This is one of my favorite Elvis movies. I love everything about it, but my number one favorite thing about this movie is Elvis. He lights up the screen and when he sings "Can't Help Falling In Love With You" I melt. This along with Jailhouse Rock, Viva Las Vegas, and Live a Little Love a Little are 4 great Elvis movies to own.

I know Faye Dunaway was the star in this intense suspense about a murder that took place in a small town. But I think David Rasche stole the show playing the darranged Shariff Louder. He was so awesome in this movie. He's great in any part he plays, He can be funny or serious. And to me that's why this movie was so great and written wonderfully it kept me in suspense all through it I recommend it for anyone who is a fan of David Rasche or just a suspense fan.

VHS : Plaza Suite
If you want a mildly entertaining snapshot of what made Walter Matthau such a skilled curmudgeon of an actor, you should take a look at this 1971 three-act Neil Simon comedy directed in a fairly pedestrian manner by Arthur Hiller. Based on Simon's Broadway hit, it feels very stagy with reams of dialogue and for the most part, a recreation of Suite 719 at the Plaza Hotel as the movie's only set. There is a central conceit in casting Matthau as the male lead in all three mini-plays, but fortunately the three characters suitably fit the contours of his talent. It also helps that Hiller cast three superb, relatively unsung actresses opposite him.

In the first and most dramatic piece, Matthau plays Sam Nash, a preoccupied, workaholic husband who sees his youth slipping away as he celebrates his 23rd (or 24th) ... Read More
