VHS : I'll Be Home For Christmas
this under-rated movie should be a classic holiday family film. I watch and taped this on the night it originally aired. As a military wife, this one hits home, for anyone with family members from this era, it will ring true with memories of their stories. It hits all the points of what life was like then, in small town America during WWII. I was thrilled to find it available for sale, I only wish it was on disc as well. If you buy 1 movie for your holiday collection--make it this one...

Yes, it's a comedy, but it's just not funny watching 3 men act like silly fratboys with a baby.
First of all, it's irresponsible. It drives me crazy how not only does the mother not know who the father is, but the rest of the men don't remember sleeping with this woman.
That is just so irresponsible and annoying. Especially considering the day and age this movie was set in.
Yes, I am being too serious about a movie. I know, but it's still an extremely silly and aggravating film except for the adorable little baby.

Reminded me of the old black & white, "Who Done It". All stories were good, but "Murder, Obliquely" was my favorite.

VHS : So I Married an Axe Murderer
This movie came out around the same time as the Wayne's World so it slipped under the radar screen. If you like Mike Myers' movies you will like this one. It has a good supporting cast and a not bad story line. It has made the rounds on premium cable channels and I'm glad to say is now part of my library.

VHS : Body Language
BODY LANGUAGE stars Tom Berenger, Robert Patrick, Nancy Travis and Heidi Schanz. Berenger portrays a lonely criminal lawyer who meets a married exotic dancer (Schanz) by chance, and becomes her White Knight. Patrick plays Schanz's alcoholic, wife-beating, vicious, trailer-trash husband.

Berenger becomes consumed with helping Schanz escape from her miserable marriage and begins a slow, unstoppable descent as he is drawn further and further into Schanz's tortured reality. His character is innocent and vulnerable, an easy mark for anyone seeking his sympathy. Berenger's fall from grace is sickly nightmarish but has an inevitable quality to it that no one ever in a similar circumstance could fault. He never loses the viewer's compassion.

Schanz is incredibly sexual onscreen. The love scenes ... Read More

Rose Red
'Rose Red' was a good story without all the spooks and goblins of Halloween.
The placement of the story, and it's surroundings, looked more realistic and less ridiculess (unbelieveable) than most spook movies. I enjoyed it.
