VHS : WWE WrestleMania I
Was 10 years old when this event took place. Still remember everyone in the neighborhood talking about it the next day, despite the fact that none of us watched the closed circuit venue (all that was available then). Couldn't wait for this tape to show up in the mail. Roddy Pipers' bag pipe entrance really reminded me how exciting this form of entertainment was as a kid. I try to get into WWF (now WWE) today, but it's just not the same.

If you grew up in the '80s, this is a must have. I got the VHS just to get it on the cheap. If it's available on DVD and you've got the few bucks to spend, I'd recommend that.

I think this would be one of those movies that receive the 89's cheese award. However it's one of my favorite movies. I love those zany madcap humorous movies. This movie stars Adam Baldwin (Independence Day and no relation to the Baldwin brothers), Max Gail (Barney Miller), Gary Busey, Mr. T, Irene Cara (she has a cameo as well two songs that she sings on the soundtrack), Marsha Warfield (Night Court), Paul Radriguez,Bill Maher and the Barbarian Brothers (David and Peter Paul).

The movie takes place at a taxi cab company in Washington D.C. They are pitted against a rival taxi company called Emerald. D.C. Cab is owned and operated by Harold (Gail) and things aren't going right. They are on the verge of closing down and loosing this drivers. Out comes Adam Baldwin who's father served with ... VHS : Mr. T's Be Somebody or Be Somebody's Fool
Before there was Dr. Phil, there was Dr. T.

FACT: All ten year olds who watched this it's premier year now are CEOs.

That Mr. T only made one motivational video for kids is a sad, sad thing. It's the equivalent of Dickens having written only one book. You see, T has a whole new approach, threatening you to be self-confident! Or at least confusing you into submission. There are a lot of Granimals(TM) in this movie. I mean a lot. They must have sponsored it in some way.

We're really thrown right into this thing with some classic pics of T weightlifting and such. One looks like his first arrest. Way to encourage us T. Then when we're least prepared, T appears and raps at us!

"Now everybody got the time to pray, but I pity the fool when there comes a day, that ... Read More

This movie is my favorite blaxploitation flick of all time...the big problem is that the xenon versions of the movie are cut. There's some sleazy video store in the neighborhood that has the un-cut vhs version. I have no idea why xenon buys the rights then cuts up the film.
