VHS : Spaceballs
It's probably funny because I'm a Star Wars fanboy. I'll admit to it. Don't expect everything from this movie and you won't be disappointed. It's just simple fun, not to be too overly analyzed. Way better than those damn Scary (or Epic, or Superhero, or Not Another Teen) Movies.

2.Buried Alive II starring: Shawnette Baity, Stephen Caffrey, Ron Dortch, Keith Flippen, Tommy Hinkley

VHS : Buried Alive II
This movie is great. I'm a big Tim Matheson fan. To get the full impact of this movie, you should see the first one "Buried Alive" with Tim Matheson and Jennifer Jason Leigh. The sequel "Buried Alive II" is about a man who poisons his wife to get her inheritance so he can buy a yacht and continue his affair with his mistress. Problem is, once she is dead, he wants a quicky funeral and wants her embalmed twice. As in the first movie, where the wife poisons husband Clint Goodman (Tim Matheson) and he is dead, (so everyone thinks) everything goes wrong at the funeral home. The embalming machine goes berserk and there is no embalming done at all. This is when the movies get really good. Both of them actually. To see what the so called dead spouses do to get revenge on the spouse who poisoned ... Read More

VHS : Quake
Taking place in SanFrancisco the year of the Oakland worldseries, a sexy female lawyer (Erika Anderson) is knocked unconscious in an earthquake. Then kidnapped by a psychopath played by Steve Raisback. His intensions are to keep her as his prisoner and she must do whatever it takes to escape. This film was very exciting although being a B-movie, but I must admit it was better then most of the films in the movie theater. The acting is not bad,and Raisback is quite entertaing as the psychopath. I recommend this to anyone who likes suspense thrillers.

4.House Party starring: Paul Anthony, B-Fine, Verda Bridges, Tisha Campbell, Barry Diamond

VHS : Perfect Crime (1997)
Incredible movie, well acted, well directed, and well produced. The movie moved from scene to scene not dragging a bit. The Cat and Mouse activity between Mitzi's character and Nicks' Kept us postponing trips to the kitchen and down the hall facility. As a fan of Nick Searcy, I was pleased with his usual abiltiy to depict an arrogant character authentically. This is the first I have seen Mitzi Kapture in a movie or a series episode but I will try to keep up with her in the future. She gave a credible performance as an NIS inviestigator. This review was based on the recent January 24th presentation on LIfetime and recorded for later viewing and highly recommended for the fan of suspense movies.

I showed this movie to a group of inmates at our local correctional facility and it passed that test!. They know when the storyline and the characters are convincing. I would recommend this movie highly. I love true stories and the ending of this movie is extremely moving. Excellent performances by all the actors involved.

VHS : Child in the Night
This is one mystery movie that will keep you "hooked" til the end.( no pun intended)
A young boy(played by Elijah Wood) holds the key to the murder of his father by seeing who did it but can't remember who it was. Only by the childrens' story of Peter Pan and Captain Hook (him being Peter Pan and the murderer as Captain Hook) is he to piece together with the help of a child psychologist(played by JoBeth Williams) the mystery of his father's murder. This movie also stars Darren McGavin (Kolchak,The Night Stalker)and Tom Skerritt(Picket Fences). Just a note of TV history for you. This isn't the only time Darren McGavin and Tom Skerritt acted together. If you recall back in 1974-75,Darren McGavin's series "Kolchak,The Night Stalker" episode: "The Devil's Platform" it starred Tom Skerritt as a politician who ... Read More
